It almost looked promising, but you went with an OC for the human they meet. If it had been someone from the actual Yu-Gi-Oh anime, then it would have been good. You've literally got 4 generations worth of canon Yu-Gi-Oh characters to choose from; using an OC in spite of that is just a shame.

You got a point! If the card is a permanent effect like continues cards or card that need to stay on the field i'd understand, but Mystical Space Typhoon and Dust Tornado is useless if their not face down targets or card that need to stay on the field!

That doesn't stop either effects though.
Unless the effect negates the certain card, destroying that targeted card in the chain doesn't stop the effect(unless it requires to stay on the field to resolve)
Not liking how Spike was easily captured too and needing rescue like that..
