Two years ago, an evil witch Maladora invaded the world. Princess Celestia and Luna tried to stop it but were lost in the battle.
Now the last of those that oppose Maladora are protected in the Domed cities of Canterlot and Cloudsdale. In these dark times there is only one team that can fight back against Maladora and protect the city from her magic until the Princess' return. They are the Power Rangers: Nature Fury
A/N: Humanized Ponies to avoid issues with world building. Also this is a Collab with my friend Jaysolo157, so the writing style change my be a tad jarring in difference from chapter to chapter though I will try to keep things seeming like you can't tell who is who.

You should check some of them out. Can't say I like the show too much since Saban came back and some seasons are cruddy but Dino Thunder, RPM, and Time Force are some of the better stuff after Space finished up.
RPM being the series that most of mine and Jay's set up comes from for us to pull on.
2648731 What's intresting is that this show pretty much mocked a lot of the trademarks in the series because Disney planned to make it the final series. But Saban bought back the rights and that led to Samurai and now Megaforce.
Intrestingly R.P.M.'s Super Senti counterpart was very humorous and Disney took that and turned it into a post aploctyic survial story.
Dino Thunder brought back Tommy and had a cheesy dub of it's Super Sentai Counterpart.
Time Force is considered one of the best seasons because of how plot driven it was.

Well we still need a Red and Blue seeing as Red, Blue, and Yellow always appear in every series. I think Rainbow Dash is going to be one of them but I'm not quite sure who the other one will be or who the leader will be.

Ahhhh, good job assuming that Red is not nessecarily going to be the leader. I am thinking Rainbow is either going to be Red (usually the badass of the group) or Blue (usually the lancer)
One thing I am loving about this story is that its making me think of one of my favorite Ranger series: RPM. Anytime one makes me think of RPM is a good day for me. I also like the fact that you are making your own team without relying too much on the past, this makes it unique and gives me the chance to wonder where you are going next. Now the big questions must be asked
1) will the team be getting their own individual weapons or will this be a sentai where they just have the sidearms and then a big frakkin cannon?
2) Zord battles, are they there or is this going to be a mechaless show ala the first two (Goranger and JAKQ)
3) Is twillight going to be like Doctor K?
and lastly, was I the only one playing some Ron Wasserman music when the powers kicked in?
2680004 I didn't get a chance to really add that scene which is why it will be a very short part 3-since it was planned to be in part 2- but the OC for this tag is going to be sort of the Zordon of the group. Though Twilight is still a main character. Still a bit hazy if I'm going to make her the Alpha of the group or the Colonel Mason. It depends on how much I need Shining Armor in the filler chapters.

I like to thank the show head writers (Judd Lynn and the first guy) for that than Disney. Disney would've been content with no rangers at all and just let the show be rerun to death for eternity. After all, they were the same company that, when forever red was being made, said and I quote "Why are you advertizing old toys?"
And I have to agree, Time Force is one of the best, alongside Din Thunder (wich is responsible for one of my favorite fanfics outside of Pony "Always a ranger) so is in space
2680004 Yeah Red is usually the de facto leader but there are a few exceptions. In Mighty Mophin Seasons 2 and 3 Tommy becomes the leader when he is the White Ranger. In Alien Rangers the White Ranger is the leader, Time Force is the same thing but with the Pink Ranger (though in the year 3000 the Red Ranger is the leader). A few series have had other rangers that served as leader before the Red Ranger like in Wild Force where the original leader was the Yellow Ranger.
Blue is often the second in command but at times other rangers fufill that role. (Zeo split it between Adam and Rocky until Jason returned.)
2680064 It's why my favorite leader, in concept because I never saw that season, is Big One since he was a Rainbow Ranger and the leader, making the most cameos in the series outside of Tommy in Power Rangers.
The only super sentai I actually saw enough of to decide was better in japan being Zyuranger and Magiranger- though the latter is because Mystic Force just is a sucky season.

Really no. We are planning at least one more ranger later on since that is what you do with these things, but when planning this I couldn't think of a defined red or blue pony to use outside of Rainbow Dash (Trixie being out completely), and the idea of Rainbow NOT being a ranger but was a main character still was too good to pass up.

Lightning does sort of work as the blue with the animal, but considering I work on the factor that Zebb is casting colors the same way a parody of Zordon and the fact Berry was the Pink Elephant ranger I sort of just rolled with it from there.

I understand that, especially the no red ranger thing since in super sentai it is now tradition the red ranger is the main character and/or leader. However because none of these characters seem to have leader qualities it was decided that the leader colors (blue being second in command) are not to be used for this start. It's also why Gilda, having the only somewhat leader color, is the white ranger.

ive read this now and i have to be honest i didnt like it that much i wont downvote it but i wont upvote it either the people selected were awful choices a bully, a person who cares more about themself than those around her, a drunk, flutershy was the only good choice that was still a bad one cause its fluttershy shed be too scared to fight and there ungrateful attitudes towards the weapons almost made me mad so i wont reading a sequel if there is one
3901135 The characters were picked because they were flawed to grow as the story went on. It's just since it's a co-lab story this takes longer since then there is no excuse for muck ups like I have with the stories I write myself that I only go over once before posting.
