Roller Coasters - Part 2

"Oh, hey, lets go on that one!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement. She was pointing to a another roller coaster, and from what Twilight could see, it had an 80 foot drop. She gulped.

"Certainly not, Rainbow Dash!" Rarity said. "It will mess up my hair...besides, I don't want experience that feeling when you drop from that high up."

Fluttershy nodded. "Um...I don't want to go on it either....it looks scary. We'll wait for you at the entrance."

Rainbow jumped in the air and hovered above the two friends. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and you want to wait at the entrance!?" The cyan pegasus was going to say more, but a certain pink pony interrupted.

"Aw, come on Dashie. If they want to miss out, that's their problem." The pink pony said, wearing her usual smile. " We'll meet you by the gate. Let's go!" Pinkie turned and started walking toward the entrance. The rest of the friends started walking toward the entrance, save for Rarity and Fluttershy.

The top of the ride started on a platform three stories of the ground. After a few minutes, it began its ascent upwards. After a second of being at the top of the ride, it began the drop downwards.

The four friends began to climb up the stairs, and since there was nopony in line, made it to the top relatively quickly. It was then when Rainbow Dash arranged the seating chart. "Okay, Twilight, you can sit in the last car so you can feel what real adrenaline is like. Pinkie -" no sooner than those words can out from her mouth, Twilight interrupted.

"Rainbow Dash, I know what adrenaline feels like! I've felt it before tests! Remember me freaking out at the library before we went to the Crystal Empire?

Dash chuckled. "Of course I remember Twilight, my memory is awesome. But what I mean is, you have never felt real adrenaline until you do something like this. The way your stomach feels when it's rising up into your throat is different from running around looking for quills and paper."

Twilight sighed. "Give me a moment to think, Rainbow." The purple unicorn closed her eyes and thought. After a few minutes, she made her decision.

Twilight sat in the back of the roller coaster with Pinkie Pie. Applejack and Rainbow Dash sat in front of them.

Rainbow turned around ."Hey, we're moving!" She said, turning back to face the front.

Indeed they were. Twilight felt the tracks moving under her. But she soon abandoned that thought as the roller coaster picked up speed going around the first curve. The purple unicorn held onto the safety bar in front of her. She heard Pinkie giggling beside her.

"Isn't this fun, Twilight?" Pinkie managed to say between giggles.

Twilight didn't answer as she was staring up at the climb before the drop. The roller coaster jerked and began the slow climb upwards. It was then that Rainbow turned around again.

"Now it's time for the most awesome part, Twilight. You will feel twenty percent cooler after this is done." The cyan Pegasus said, before turning back to the front.

It was then that Twilight noticed they were at the top of the climb. The cars stopped for a minute, then dropped down.

The lavender pony felt her stomach rise up into her throat as the coaster continued to drop. About halfway down, it took all her power not to throw up. After that feeling was gone, she screamed.

Because Twilight has closed her eyes, she hadn't seen what was coming next. So when she opened her eyes, she was in total darkness. Nervous about where she was, she started feeling around for somepony. Her left hoof soon bumped into a certain party pony. "Pinkie?" Twilight asked, her voice shaking.

"Yes?"

"Oh. Where are we?" Twilight asked.

"We're underground, silly!" Pinkie replied.

Twilight was about to answer when the coaster went around a sharp curve and out into the light. After a few more seconds, the coaster pulled into the station.

After the ride operator undid the safety bars, the four friends got out and onto the platform. Twilight's legs were shaking so much that it was hard for her to stand. Slowly, the friends went down the staircase in search of Fluttershy and Rarity.
