Derpy Hooves, the resident mailmare of Ponyville, has been invited to a picnic organized by Twilight Sparkle and her friends. The chance to socialize and have a good time is too good to pass up, but she needs Rainbow Dash's help with getting the mail delivered. Rainbow Dash, meanwhile, isn't sure that inviting Derpy is the best idea.
This is the first complete fan fiction I've ever written, so I apologize in advance if it's a bit rough. I wrote it in response to the censoring of Derpy's first talking appearance on the TV show. I think that answering the criticism about Derpy positively and constructively is far better than just sanitizing the original image.
If this offends any Rainbow Dash fans, I apologize in advance :P

Great story with a challenging theme, well done I really enjoyed it. I think your a bit keen on them comma's though.
I thought it was a good story. Very much felt like an extended episode with a good lesson at the end.
That was an enjoyable read; everybody was pretty much in character and Derpy was adorable as always.
I'd like to point out that you use "everyone" instead of "everypony" and "hand" instead of "hoof," but this is incredibly nitpicky of me and did not detract from my enjoyment of your story at all.

I agree with Seether00 it was just like reading the script for a real episode. You nailed each characters personality and character! Great job!!
I thought it was going to go differently because of all the strain that was on Rainbow in the race. I was expecting Rainbow to say it was only because she had given the 5 second head start and her sore wings. Great story, but it just reminds me how much I want Derpy back in the show. I hate that controversy over her being a mockery of people with disabilities, she just has silly eyes and is cutely awkward.
