5670906 It's like in the story 'Millenium' that's on this site! Rome was created before the arrival of Magic so it obeys the previous magic-less version of the laws of physics/reality which makes it now immune to the current magical laws of physics/reality. It's now one big paradox since it is no longer responsive to the post magic views of time but since the pre-magic views of time are no longer applicable it's essentially in stasis!

Jason walked over to the shrine, admiring the ornate design of the entire thing. As he looked over it he noticed something, on the smooth top of the shrine there was a small round bump that poked out, curious Jason ran his finger over it. With a small click the bump pushed inwards, it was a button. There was a series of clicks and gear grinding notices and a small square panel flipped open smack dab in the middle of the shrine, it had a metal border and a lack screen centre.

Pinkies forshadowing is annoying and what's with Jason's reluctance with religion? Just say it was a Holly figure it doesn't matter for what religion telling them about human religion isn't some evil thing. This story doesn't seem to want to decide wether it wants to be serious or silly. Pinkie ruins the suspension with her fourth wall breaking.
