Twilight Sparkle has been betrayed by Celestia, all her friends brutally killed in front of her eyes after the young unicorn woke up one morning with wings. Celestia had realized that Twilight had been chosen by the Elements of Harmony to replace Luna and herself as the leading force of Equestria, and correctly surmised that the other Elements would have followed shortly after and become a united force the current princesses couldn’t hope to defeat if they chose to contest their position for the throne. Even though Twilight doesn't want to acknowledge her destiny as Equestria's next chosen ruler, the new alicorn cannot let the tyrants she has now seen Celestia and Luna really are remain in power.
Armed with only the Elements of Harmony and her burning rage, Twilight sets out to avenge her friends and free Equestria from Celestia and Luna's tyranny.
The fate of Equestria, as well as the balance of this entire universe, hinges on Twilight's success.

The beginning was rough to read.. And I think maybe you should have had some build up there. Giving us some ground to stand on before that, although I guess it gives the mood for the entire story.
I don't know. This is hard to rate, I guess 3.5? . Everything happens really really fast.

199725 Yes it's a little fast. But this idea is original. I think. I don't really read stories that don't have some sort of Shipping in it. I'm a hopeless romantic like that I suppose... But the description really pulled me in. I look forwards to more.
I think the in media res pacing of the beginning is fine except for the fact that it doesn't give the reader any time to acclimate to your version of Celestia. I can see Celestia killing the rest of the elements, but the vindictive nature she displays is a little jarring without warning (Especially ie. telling Twilight she was 'too dumb' to save her friends.)
199771 I guess so. And yeah, most of fics I follow are shipping fics. But so far my all time Favorites aren't. (Though, they had a little romance in them towards the end, so I guess that doesn't count)
199862 I think thats what got me. I've seen "Evil Tyrant Celestia" it just came too fast for me too really ground myself. Truthfully I kinda came in expecting to hate it after that. I don't know, I'll read the rest and say what I think then

Okay, I extremely disliked the first part of the first chapter, and I didn't want to read it any further, so I rated it 1/5.
Then, curiosity got the best of me, so I read the second part of the first chapter, and that was better, so I changed my rating to a 3/5
After I read this chapter, I couldn't do something else than changing my rating to 5/5.

I would've used original characters. It's too hard to picture Celestia hating somepony for something they had no control over. As for Twilight's character I would've put more into what she must be feeling. Memories can be a powerful thing.
5/5 IMO for again IMO opinion accurately portraying Discord, who I'm my eye never meant to harm any-pony.

Once again, I am first.
And I don't even use email notifications. I just spend way too much time on this site looking around. (Just happened to catch it in the "Updated Stories" tab on the main page, saw it had 5 chapters, and became happy.)
This chapter is a nice ending to a brilliant fic. My only issue is that it's pretty short with a mere five chapters, but then again I read FO:E in four days so everything is "pretty short" for me.
LOL @ The rest of the Mane 6 being reincarnated as Twi's daughters. LOL @ The Doctor x Twilight. (For once, a straight pairing!) You sir are an amazing author. Not the best (personally I think the best is Kkat, for writing FO:E) but still AMAZING.
This is such a great read! I love your writing style and all the characters are potrayed beautifully. I almost cried when Twi heard Rainbow help her. Keep up the great work.
Also, the first chapter was great in my opinion. I'm glad you didn't dwell into the gruesomeness of it all and for that I thank you.
Man, what a great story, wonderful writing and a great story arch, good show. A bit confusing near the end with all the different Twilights, but it was a fun read.
