But when you take into account the fact that said princess must first look out for her subjects, she decides to send over a guard in order to protect the portal and the innocent lives in Canterlot High. The only question is, who?

Sunset Shimmer is thrilled! She and her friends and use magic in the human world after all! But she comes to a sudden realization, if word of magic gets into the wrong hands, lives may be in danger. She frantically brings this up with her friends and they all stress over it until her book starts vibrating on the desk nearby.

Welcome to the Kesho Saga. What you are about to read is a story about the son of King Sombra, Kesho, going through an adventure to master his newly acquired powers and stop three rogue villains from obtaining them for themselves. The way he'll do it however, is up to you and many others.

The choices he makes, the major decisions he will decide, will be up to the cast of readers. Each choice will change the course of the story as well as Kesho himself and how others around him will view him.

Will Kesho master his powers and use them to save Equestria? Or will he follow in his father's footsteps, and embrace the darkness?

After being kicked out of the Wonderbolts academy, Lightning Dust feels like she lost everything. Her dreams are crushed. Neither of her parents are alive and they never have been since she was a filly. She lives with her Grandfather and he doesn't take the time to listen to her. She's lost the only friend she's ever had in her life due to the accident she caused at the academy.

She sets out to make things right with Rainbow Dash, but she is immediately stopped when dangers of the Everfree Forest cause a great obstacle. She escapes, but the strange events left Lightning Dust emotionally scarred.

Then, she meets a stallion while watching the Wonderbolts in the arena. A stallion who wants to help her get her hope back. His name is Sky Twister.

An unknown threat attacked Fillydelphia, and Pfc. Knight Errant was called out to fight it, alongside the rest of his unit. He did as he was trained to, rushing out to defend the city against the magical unknown.

But taking an attack dead-on, Knight finds himself drifting in the void between worlds, unsure if he's dead or not.

Then the goddess of another dimension calls out to him. She's in need of his help, she says, and he's just the mortal for the job. Not wanting to spend the rest of eternity simply drifting in emptiness, Knight agrees, and finds himself in a world in need of the sun's light.

Rainbow Blitz can be described as many different things; a talented flyer and Wonderbolt, a highly-esteemed Element of Harmony, a carefree prankster. But most of all, Blitz puts his Loyalty and friendships above all else.

So after an accidental mishap while performing a unique Wonderbolt stunt, Rainbow Blitz knew he had to make things up after injuring Elusive's dance partner before an upcoming competition. So, the stunt-pony promised that he would find the best dancer around to take the mare's place, and help Elusive win the trophy he wanted for years.

However, what he didn't expect was how Elusive decided to cash in that promise. Instead of just finding another mare on such short notice, the fashion pony had his sights set on someone different to take the place as his dancing partner:

"For the Good of Equestria" is dead. However, I left it in an awkward place: among other things, I never was able to explain why Twilight never became an alicorn, which made it feel like a bad fix-fic to me.

I've wanted to tell this story for literally about five years, and, though I will never write it as a novel, I've pulled together my notes. Please, enjoy.

If it wasn't clear, I'm very fond of this story, even though I won't be able to finish it. If you find a scene or chapter you like, you're welcome to write it and PM me the link; if it's half-decent, I'll add it to the chapter as an excerpt. Looking forward to seeing what you can do!

A Note On Formatting:

Most of the story is written out as a summary. Quotation marks are usually used to indicate spoken dialogue, but I used them once or twice to indicate names, places, and so on I hadn't firmly nailed down yet.

The "excerpts" are taken from the chapters, etc., I had already written prior to abandoning the project, and show what a scene would have looked like if I had written it out. The same goes for segments in quote blocks. These excerpts are presented as-is, with no further editing, and may clash with my notes; if there's ever a conflict, the notes are canon.
