So, you are nearing the end of your journey...

Nearly 2 decades' worth of hiding, scavenging, and a lot of running, now you were here in the outskirts of Griffonstone, in a diner by the shoreline, waiting for your ticket to come back home.

But you should have known, it was harder to hide and work in a world where you stood out, be it intentionally or not, and today is the day when you will get a chance to attain the very object that has limited you. Today is a day of hope, but to the two that would meet you, today would be foreboding beyond comprehension in the simplest of ways.

Now, let the broken commander and mislead dragon make their move, you will be prepared to run, run as you always have, run as you have with regret, and to run for the last time. Soon your final hand with be dealt, you could only hope the stakes are to favor your fate.

For now, you waited, prepared, and in a way, resigned to a hard fate, in one way or another.

All the tags are used in a very mild manner, the story really is my mild take on a HiE story that would want to go home and how years of work have led to the finale of their story. Of course, some things are not fully thought about as I wrote this.

Clearly, another story that I spent some time on, was supposed to be another one shot, but I decided to split it into two. Not the best story out there, but it will work for a time, changes will be made.

I have done a lot of things during these past five years I've been stranded in Equestria, some good and some bad. Lately I have taken up the occupation of Adventurer, traveling the land and solving any problems a pony can think of, provided they can pay of course. Lucky for me, my newest client lives a very... interesting life.

This is my first foray into a serious work of writing, so do not take it too seriously. I hope that you all are at least somewhat entertained! Gore warning for possible wound descriptions.

This story is a little bit more 'dark' than cold. I usually don't use a Dark tag, or thriller, so I'm doing my best at figuring out what tags mean what, but I'm also trying to keep this PG-13 as much as possible, and it's really hard to keep it up with my standards of writing, but I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it! Sorry if I offend anyone with the words that I choose for this story, I usually don't use those either. (I don't like swearing in my stories, don't hate me...) Also, this is one of my first stories where I would write action scenes, so I do apologize in advance if I suck at it. However, Sandbar goes against their warnings and goes in anyways, his friends following suit. Due to Sandbar's bad decision, his friends are gone and now he has to find them. Will he find them before it's too late?

It didn't take long for the United States government to grow suspicious of 'unusual activity' happening at local high schools; especially when the Dean of Crystal Prep swears up and down that Canterlot High has students who have become demons and grown wings. For this reason, the FBI created a small branch taskforce to deal with said suspicions and locate the origins of the magic; the Bureau of Magical Investigations.

Christian Cloud is a prodigious special agent for the BMI who excels at reconnaissance and espionage; never faltering in his assignment no matter what. He has been tasked by the bureau to gather information about the recent magical events that have transpired at Canterlot High after the Friendship Games.

When his newest target brings him to the birthplace of the magic, Christian must enroll in Canterlot High and gain the trust of seven girls to extract the information the bureau needs. But his plans go awry when he begins to form genuine bonds with his new friends and develops feelings for one fiery haired girl in particular.

With his job on the line and the lives of his new friends now hanging in the balance, Christian must combat a secret organization which seeks to exploit magic and its properties for financial gain; all while making sure that his cover isn't blown.
