Fluttershy is about to learn that straying away from a familiar groove can lead one to face something—or someone—incredibly weird. All it takes is a simple and noble wish: to be more useful.

Thankfully, even that which dwells beyond normality can't resist the primal urge to make Fluttershy smile.

Takes place between Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games, not that that's of any importance.

Fluttershy seems like a regular high school senior living in a small town who spends most of her time with her closest friends. But really, her home-life is anything but bright. To make matters worse, Fluttershy wounds up in detention, is sent to the Principle, and is given an out of the ordinary task all on her first day of school. Because she rather help around the office than be stuck in the basement, Fluttershy goes to pick up a strange foreign man. Unbeknownst to her, this one encounter will change her life forever.

Will it change for the good? Or will it spiral downhill? Who knows when he happens to be the teachers assistant in your first hour...

The winds of nostalgia are blowing through the air, and a lonely Draconequs sang a long-forgotten song. A small pony came to hear his feelings, and he told a tale of a song and his own regrets.
Meanwhile, a part of this same story is also remembering those facts from a different point of view.

During her Sophmore year, Sunset watched the mostly metaphorical explosions. She thought little of it, past saving the idea to be reused later. Junior year, her plans began, but last year's events might be enough to help her start.

Except maybe her Princess friend from a pony world saying there's a magical imbalance on the same day Discord decides he's too bored without Fluttershy around and turns himself into a human so he can attend her school.
