Quibble Pants just wasn't cut out for fatherhood. But now his relationship with Clear Sky is getting serious, he really hopes he can hit it off with her daughter Wind Sprint. But it's much more complicated than just a game of buckball.

This is a alternating POV story featuring Quibble Pants and Wind Sprint.

Somewhat related to the events in the episode Common Ground, but you don't have to have watched the episode to understand what's going on. Minimal spoilers.

Inspired in equal parts by conversations with Raleigh, Viking ZX, Cereal-Killer, Mitch H, and TCC56 on the Discord, and by Admiral Biscuit's not-a-contest for Ponies with day jobs on Earth.

Hearth's Warming is a wonderful time of year for most ponies. Getting together, singing, eating traditional foods, seeing old friends… and family.

But when that family is broken, or trying to heal, sometimes things can be a little harder.

Hearth's Warming is just around the corner, which for Quibble Pants presents a bit of a dilemma. It's his first Hearth's Warming with his new family and he's desperate to find a good present for Wind Sprint.

Once again he decides to call on the help of his friend Rainbow Dash, this time paying her a visit in Ponyville in the hopes she'll be able to help him out. And lucky for him, his friend has some time to spare.

Can Rainbow Dash point Quibble in the right direction again? Or this a dilemma that Quibble will have to figure out on his own?

Wind Sprints mom, Clear Sky, is going to meet her old friend, Berry Punch, also known as Ruby Pinch's mom. The two mothers also thought this a great opportunity for their daughters to make friends!

Problem is, these fillies don't want to make friends with each other. But sometimes, you are placed in a situation where you need to.
It's for the cookies...

Really, Wind Sprint wasn't mad that she got shown out of the locker room. It was that the ponies outside of it were even more irritating than the elusiveness of the reason for being stuck with them.
