It was a typical day in Griffonstone for Gilda and Greta, just trying out some fresh Griffon scones when their other friend Gabby arrives after being away for a few months.

Nothing was out of the usual, at least until the two discovered Gabby was carrying a baby with her. Not just any baby, but a dragon baby, and she says she's its mother.

This just leaves Gilda and Greta with a few uncomfortable questions they feel they cannot avoid.

This story is based on this series set in the Alternate Universe created by InuHoshi-to-DarkPen.

Spike and Gabby have been dating for a few weeks, and everything is great! In their short time together, they’ve found that they click on so many more levels than they did as friends. There is never an awkward moment between them, and now that they’re on the third date, it’s time to take it to the next level: The kiss. 

The mere thought of it fills Spike with nerves, but not of the excited kind. Instead of anticipation, all he feels is dread. He wants to kiss her. He needs to kiss her. There’s just one little problem.

He doesn’t know how to kiss a beak.

When I saw that letter to Mount Aris, I knew I just had to deliver it immediately! It wasn't an emergency letter or anything, I'd just been wanting to go there ever since its restoration.

Following a violently suppressed protest, Gallus and Gabby reflect on what options they have to live a better life. Jaded from what he had witnessed -- and unsure there is a future for his people -- Gallus lives convinced that some things will never change. Gabby however points to a brighter, though more distant horizon. She promises that though he may not see it, to trust that the future will be better.

A griffon with a Cutie Mark? This does not bode well for Equestria. If the Cutie Mark Crusaders have achieved what was previously considered unachievable... it could have tremendous consequences for the future of Equestria.

Spike and Gabby have been dating for quite some time now, but this is the first time Spike has invited his girlfriend to spend Heart's Warming Eve with him and his family. Will Spike be able to survive the onslaught? Will Gabby achieve her secret goal?
