Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies.

One day, the sisters stumbled upon an orphaned colt on the outskirts of the Everfree Forest. Although he couldn't remember much of his past besides his name, the two sisters could see and feel the potential coming from him. In the end, Celestia adopted him as her son.

After a mishap with the ghost portal, Danny Fenton finds himself stuck in the strange world of Equestria. The worst part? He's got enemies here, too.

I was going to make Phantom pay for leaving me at the mercy of Clockwork and the Observers. I was going to remake my future. But fate once again intervened, sending me somewhere far past the ghost zone. It was awful at first, but when I saw how this new world's creatures trembled before me... In MLP's p.o.v., it takes place after season 2, but with changes that are not canon with season 3.

After an accident with his parents ghost portal, his D.N.A. became infused with ectoplasm, turning him into a half ghost.

Now Danny Phantom, he took it onto him to fight ghost while struggling to learn to control his new found powers. Luckily, he has his two best friends, Sam and Tucker, with him to help him deal with the everyday ghost life.

Together, they went through all kinds of supernatural adventures. Together, they stood in the way of many ghost attacks. Together, they kept their city, Amity Park, safe. Together. Always together.

Until that one fateful day. The day that everything changed. The day that three became two, and Danny's life changed forever. Struggling with his guilt for his failings, and letting down the one meaning most to him, he runs away; desperately trying to get away from the nightmares that haunt his memories. But, as the saying goes: ''You can run, but you can't hide.''

Within this strange realm of knowledge both ancient and new, Danny will learn what it is to be a changelink; what they are, who they are, what they endured, how everything fell apart, and who was ultimately responsible for their downfall. Discovering the truth long lost to the passing of time through the eyes of those who lived it.

This fic is a side story of Guilt of a Phantom and contains the story left untold after the end of the chapter: A New Lease On Life. This is not a stand alone fic, but was meant to be a single chapter which became so much more; too much to remain as just a chapter.

It is strongly recommended to read Guilt of a Phantom and it's affiliated fics before this, because on its own it will not make much sense without the context provided in the main story.

Sunset Shimmer, after being relentlessly bullied by her peers at school because of the Anon-A-Miss incident, comes to her apartment, drunk out of her mind. In her stupor she accidentally drops a lit match and set's her entire room on fire, dying in the process.

However, instead of passing on to the other side, her soul became trapped in the inferial plain known as the ghost zone.

Here, Sunset will meet and befriend some of the ghosts that lurk inside and she will to keep the ecto-energy inside the ghost zone from corrupting her mind.
