Cloudchaser is the perfect big sister: cool, calm, collected, and carefree. Flitter is a lot of things – most of them insanely annoying – but she’ll always see her sister as a true paragon.

That’s because Cloudchaser’s determined to act like one. Always. No matter what the cost.

So when they both apply for the Wonderbolt Academy, and only one of them gets in, it’s a very bad time to let the façade crack under the sudden pressure.

Then again, why not crack? After all, she’s walked on the edge of the storm every day. She has to stop acting sometime.

Storms that strong can’t hide forever.

It was all passion and confidence in the way of judgement, both of which almost led to her to be booted from the Academy. Almost. Offered a second chance, Lightning Dust must prove to her peers she can reign in her ego and work together with her squadmates.

But nothing is ever easy. Humiliation. Doubt. Fear. Can she overcome such tribulations?

Today was just going to be one of those days for Shining Armor, he should have just known it. Firstly, he had to babysit Blueblood on one of his date's upon Celestia's orders and then the Prince had to go and get himself kidnapped by some strange and rather vain robot with a purple face symbol of all things. Yep, definitely one of those days. Shining should have just stayed in bed. A Transformers crossover, if that wasn't obvious.

An entry in the Imposing Sovereigns III Competition using the prompt: [(Cloud Chaser) / (Determination)]. As required, Cloud Chaser is in a "position of power" over her minor sister, whom she is determined to take care of. To be fair, "Princess" Flitter is also demonstrating determination about improving herself and getting what she wants. Rainbow Dash shows determination as a leader, but she's not the focus.
