Princess Luna had created the Tantabus to punish herself for her evil deeds, but then she forgave herself and destroyed it. Little does she know that a small fragment had managed to escape and hide in the unknown regions. Can it be stopped before time runs out?

Equestria’s altered fate had been set in stone, where all had no choice but to befall their love onto the moon forever, with Celestia finding her new home on a cold isolated rock. The newly appointed usurper queen Nightmare Moon finally had achieved her goal, but at what cost other than that of her most faithful follower. Years had passed and there she would reminisce less and less from the past, keeping up with other leaders from other regions, adapting to their new slang, and holding the devotion of her subjects. As the years had passed however, so did the resolve of her most faithful follower. Now after so many years, would one’s resolve overcome mountains full of doubt and sorrow ? Would only one ponies faith be enough for many years of internal conflict to crack the mask and find light within, or would it just be all for not ?

Tantabi

Incarnations of a powerful magic user's potent feelings, born and nourished by their regrets and anguish. Magical manifestations so strong, they gain a mind of their own, influenced by their original's darkest desires and most primal of instincts. Their ultimate goal is to fulfill their user's most heartfelt wish, unhindered by mental constructs like morality. Thankfully, or perhaps unfortunately, they are caged within the user's mind upon creation, and they can begin to influence and even overtake the user over time. Although cases of this happening have been incredibly rare since the magic needed to create one is far beyond the capabilities of normal creatures and ponies, there have been a few recorded cases of it in the distant past.

Ancient texts speak of a chilling theoretical possibility. From the very words of a pony who had been inflicted with one, translated to the best of my ability: "The magic mist had grown too strong. It rent the heavens of my dreams and nearly tore into the waking world. The damage it would have unleashed would have been catastrophic, had I not stopped it."

The scroll I took those words from is old, and unfortunately, the answer to stopping a Tantabus has been weathered by Father Time into illegibility, but all my research on them has given me one undeniable answer: I pray Equestria will never find itself facing even just one of them. The world would not have a hero big enough to save it then.

Description: A brown leather journal signed by one "Dream Snatcher''. The contents of the journal describe a ■■■■■■■■ attempt in second person. The exact details vary from subject to subject, but the core structure of a story remains.

Upon making contact with the subject's skin, the object causes visual, auditory and tactile hallucinations of an exceedingly violent matter. Most subjects lose consciousness in the process, although several other side effects have been observed, such as:

-siesures

-brain hemorrhaging

-paralysis

-mania

-[REDACTED]

Several subjects have shown no symptoms when presented with the object, mainly those with experience in field operations/crisis management within the Foundation.

The item appeared in the living quarters of Princess Luna, and was investigated by the subject.

It was just another Saturday. He was playing Oldschool Runescape to do some skill training, then call it a day. Maybe a quest tomorrow, since he doesn't have that cape yet. Not a max account. Not a noob either. Just someone who enjoys playing once in a while.
