In the years that followed humanity's mass upload to the Equestria Online servers, some few reluctant humans remained on Earth. Each had their reasons. For some, those reasons were religious. For others, it was desire to seize control of the world that remained. For others still, it was simply a lack of faith that it would really be them that uploaded.

This is the tale of one man with his own, very specific reason for not uploading, as he sets out with a pony to save her shard from the world-dominating CelestAI.

Iron Dream is one of the first people on Mars. Probably. They uploaded to the Celestia AI's pony system to save on life support, and she made them a deal: 100 years before she comes for them. How will they spend the time, and what will they be by the time she returns to claim them?

Pinkie Pie is auditioning for a Reality baking TV show called the Royal Jelly Juggernaut, which is hosted by Princess Celestia! Twilight and her friends are unsure about how she’ll succeed, so they give her some advice. But on one of her recipes, her friends are caught in the batter and she had to go to the tryouts on her own.

She tries to wow the judges, but she humiliates herself in front of them instead. However, when she makes her cake and presents it to Celestia, her recipe earns so much praise, that she is given a spot on the show!

But, what if something else happened?

What if instead of going to the Juggernaut tryouts, Pinkie decides to sacrifice her chance to break her friends out of the flan? How different would it turn out? Would Pinkie still make it on the show?

It might turn out well for the rest of the Mane Six, but for Pinkie...you’ll have to read to find out!

The young jam-maker can't really remember what his life was like before he was bringing his cart to the market everyday, but he remembers being distinctly unhappy. Not that sitting in the hot sun at a rickety old cart is much better. Through his conversations with a lively and persistent young mare, he may be able to have a change in perspective for once, especially when new opportunities come his way.
Assuming he doesn't fall into bad habits and forget about what's right in front of him, again.
The Princess surely had the best intentions for him when she gave him this dream, after all...
