Now though, the brothers awaken once again, but in new bodies that's not the same and ending up somewhere different. What'll happen to them next when these unusual species make contact to them?

Music transcends language, but how can you communicate when you're out of sync? For Octavia and Lyra, the first annual Ponyville Philharmonic Concert is the chance to learn not just about themselves, but each other.

As it turns out, nothing is impossible with some unhealthy curiosity, an overwhelming pressure of holiday deadlines and a bit of street writing magic.

It's like an art trade, only in fiction. Can't believe I've said it .

It always amuses me how some moments in a story are carefully planned while other just sort of happen. Creativity is funny like that. Apparently a deadline and a sense of responsibility (coupled with some therapy and an AD course) is a nice workaround for the writer's block.

The strange thing is, this is probably the closest thing to canon I ever wrote. Also, I never thought of writing about these two, and I would probably never do it without the big event. So thanks for the opportunity, I guess. Hope you like it.

This is a remake of the similarly titled "???: turnabout buttons" but I have rewritten it completely except for the prologue, which is identical to the old prologue.
Reading the prequel is not required because the casts of these two stories do not interact; that will come in book three.

Lyra Heartstrings is a brilliant spell-caster and spell-crafter, and remains one of Princess Celestia's first choices for research into complicated magics. Will she be able to study her latest assignment objectively?

The reasearch topic is humans, and Lyra is determined to experience them first-hoofhand. The only problem is she has no idea how to human.
