Violet is a young unicorn mare who lives in Whinnyapolis, Equestria. She lives a fairly usual life besides the fact that she has an over the top strict and male hating mother. When Violet gets a boyfriend and keeps it a secret from her mother, her mother soon discovers the truth and is enraged, she murders her boyfriend while also knocking out Violet. Violet is then sent to a large home with other mares where she is to become a sister, Violet finds out that this place is much worse than her home, so she must escape.

Two minor villains, two heinous crimes, one cramped cell, and one very nerdy pony out to prove she can work friendship's magic too.
But will Spoiled Rich and Lightning Dust actually learn the value of friendship? Whatever happens, Moondancer's sure it will make an excellent case study and that she can deal with the ethics board.

Takes place sometime after The Washouts.

Warning: While not directly shown, rape will be a major theme.

From Equestria to a world where unicorns are hunted and killed, Rarity's friends rush to her aid, only to find themselves quickly enmeshed in a great war. It is a world where Equestria fell apart in its early days, Hearth's Warming never happened, and an eternal winter night blankets the land under a permanent sheet of ice.

The Order of the Hatten Vanguard vindictively hunts unicorns and rules its citizens with an iron hoof. They claim that their ruthless tyranny is necessary for the survival of ponykind against the cold, and that only the extermination of all the unicorns will starve the winter of the magic that fuels it, and they may be right.

The Ceruleans claim The Order must fall, that its cruel reign is what brings the winter.

Both sides are willing to fight to the bitter end to bring the summer sun.

The world is a tapestry of the lives and deaths of heroes and villains on both sides, of leaders struggling to know what course will bring their dawn, of powerful secret societies with mysterious and ambitious goals, and where unthinkable new technology threatens to change the world forever. It is a world in turmoil, and a world in need of heroes of every kind.

It is a world apart from Equestria.

On her birthday, life seems to be getting back to normal for Snow Storm after the fall of the Red Hoof. That is, until an unmarked letter shows up, bearing only her name.

There are many ponies inhabiting this grim AU, and all have their stories. There are immigrants fleeing to Equestria, odd ponies trying to fit into the 'normal' world, a government crumbling, and an organization of questionable morals trying to take it over from the shadows. All are connected in trying to fight through the struggles of Civil Equestria.

When Fluttershy goes into the Everfree Forest to find a fare flower and some rare berries she finds a magical flower that turns her into a lamia. She soon learns that she has to fight off new instincts, will she be able to or will she fall victim and lose herself in the process.

The last time Twilight saw Starlight Glimmer, she threatened to kill Rainbow Dash when she was just a filly and ruin Twilight's life by going back in time. Only, when she failed to find Starlight in the past and returned home, Equestria wasn't a ruined wasteland, Ponyville was a lot bigger than she remembered, and all these new ponies in the castle were talking about some big pony they call Empress.

A new era dawns in Equestria, as Celestia's parents Aurelius and Lucretia, the world's final witnesses of the ancient Solar Empire, pass the throne down to their two daughters. They foresee great things from their eldest, who accepts her new title with nervous excitement.

As she comes to terms with the great change in her life and learns the responsibilities of running a nation, an ancient evil re-awakens from the frozen south, seeking to dominate and enslave every sentient creature on the planet. In the midst of this growing threat, she finds herself falling for a farm hand from Ponyville. Her newfound feelings leave her torn, knowing that she will outlive all that she loves due to her lifespan.
