"In The Precocious Princeling's Guide to Diplomatic Relations, there are three rules for how a royal ought to conduct himself abroad.

  1. A diplomat of Equestria must obey all local laws of the nation they are assigned to.
  2. A diplomat of Equestria should advocate for the interests of Equestria to the best of their abilities.
  3. Under no circumstance should a diplomat of Equestria get involved in the following: Political parties, popular uprisings, peasant revolutions, class solidarity movements, coups d'etat, or other attempts at regime change, violent or otherwise.

By the time I had finished my tenure in Saddle Arabia, I had broken all three."

This story is a sequel to The Stereotypical Necromancer

The moon is still there, yet She is gone.

The sun hangs high in the sky; charred bodies lay piled beneath it.

Whispers cling to my hooves, pleading that I may yet somehow save us all.

But I am no hero. I am no great spellcaster that may move Equus to smother the Sun.

I am only a coward, and all I have is all that I know.

Maybe that is a kind of salvation.

Hiya! It's me! That... er... you know, that guy who... I think he wrote about ponies or something? :rainbowhuh:

Anyways, today's the three-year anniversary of The Stereotypical Necromancer—everybody party—but to be honest, I didn't prepare anything in advance for this year. Suffice to say, I've been having a pretty bad series of days as of late. :twilightsheepish:

So I took a look through my big folder of writing stuff for anything I could half-heartedly throw into the internetspace to celebrate, and my focus happened to land on an in-universe book I wrote for the future!

Problem is, this book spoils a lot of really cool plot details I intended on introducing way later on. What you're currently looking at is a small portion of the book that I went through and cherry-picked for neat stuff that wouldn't completely blow out any sense of narrative tension from the main story.

There's still some very intriguing things to be found within these short few pages, though. It's a day of celebration, after all!

A'course, if you don't want to spoil anything about Dark Magic, then you can feel free to ignore this for the time being. Sometime probably very far into the future, I'm going to make this book in its entirety available to the public. When that happens, it'll lose the Anniversary suffix, and the missing chapters in-between will be slotted in. I'll also probably erase this whole AN—or maybe I'll just shift it down and mark it as old.

Either way and regardless of anything I just said, happy birthday TSN!

also, fimfiction absolutely hates the cover art for whatever reason, so here is the high quality version

I have to go lie down now TvT

Kirins have lived for centuries in the grove within the Peaks of Perils. They have their own legends and heroes.
One of their tale, starting a thousand year before the friendship adventures of Twilight Sparkle, is the "Thorn of the Frozen Star", where we learned how a kirin, named Ivory Frost, saved the grove from the threat posed by an ice wyrm, Zuriak.

Written the story on impulse, and proposed to original author. Original settings, characters and composition of Frozen Night : you can listen the Album of the Thorn of the Frozen Star on youtube.

Winter is over, the spring winds blow gently and the red poppies dance. If only Twinkle could focus on what was happening now instead of what was, and if Cake could get her little ponies to stay happy, maybe they won't see winter again. But the air grows colder, the memories bleed in. No matter how many songs you dance too or how many cups of juice you drink it seems no pony can run from their past.

This story tries to make the best of the worst ending Equestria could get in the EAW universe. it was heavily inspired by generation 3 of my little pony, as well as the indie game 'we happy few.'
