When the Royal guard, Flash Sentry, is given three weeks off of duty, due to stress, he travels to his once home, Canterlot , where he meets the newest princess in Equestria. He immediately falls for Twilight, but knows it's not right. The two become close companions, closer than they'd ever expect them to be.Maybe even, to close, almost to the point of sharing their secrets.

This is not suitable for kids(6-9, or people under 13). It includes foal language, some gory scenes(SOME. I will warn you when that part happens),some sexual scenes(I will warn you about that, too),and yes, it includes Flash Sentry, so if your not a Flashlight fan, or a Flash fan at all, then you might wanna get out. After not seeing Twilight Sparkle for years, Princess Celestia is surprised when Twilight shows up at the castle, needing a foalsitter for the daughter Celestia never knew she had. Princess Celestia agrees to foalsit for the young filly on short notice with deeper motives than a simple foalsitting job. Somepony in a Mare-Do-Well suit has taken to visiting Rarity's bedroom at night. Rarity loves every moment of it, but despite her paramour asking her not to investigate, she just can't help wondering...

I started this story with the intention of entering it in the 263rd Writeoff, "Go Steady in the Dark," back in August of 2023, but that was not to be.

My captor was kind, to a point. They provided me with a comfortable private suite, three meals a day, and tried to accommodate any of my needs within reason. It was a far cry from being locked away in a dingy dungeon or straight up killed, but I still was a bit wary about the true intentions of this alicorn. 

A gilded cage, however, is still a cage.

He asks Twilight and Applejack to accompany him there; inviting AJ because he had thought maybe that a trip can help ease her mind on the whole thing she has been facing.

However, both Spike and Applejack deal with problems of their own: they could slowly be getting an attraction to each other. Will Applejack's life make sense once more, and solve the threat? Or will more conflict rise up that will force her life-changing decision upon her?

Trixie has read literally dozens of true crime stories. She has no idea why it takes the police so long to solve the crimes when they're so obvious -- especially in hindsight. When a murder happens right in front of her, its her chance to prove her expertise to the doubters and claim her rightful title as the Intelligent and Insightful Trixie, Equestria's Greatest Magical Detective!
