This story is a sequel to A Tale of Two Dusks

Dusk Shine has never been particularly interested in making friends. Most of his time has been spent investigating the strange conspiracy theories surrounding Canterlot High, with occasional snark fights with his sister.

However, after meeting Sonata Dusk, he promised to help her out, and he plans to follow through with that promise. But between Dusk's inexperience with the whole "friendship" thing, the mysterious events that tend to occur around Canterlot High School, a pair of sirens who are still on the loose, Sunset's well-meaning but unhelpful friends, a mother who seems intent on welcoming a new member of the family, a bunch of students who are still not quite willing to forgive Sonata, and a girl who sees her as a threat for a very different reason, he feels as if he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Hopefully he'll figure it out. And maybe even discover something greater than friendship.

Reading A Tale Of Two Dusks is not strictly necessary, but it will be helpful!

It's been a few weeks since the Friendship Games. This world's Twilight Sparkle is struggling to adjust to her new school and her new friends. Sunset sees this, and resolves to help ease Twilight into their group in any way she can.

A late night encounter, a pep talk, and a little bit of whipped cream – all things that seem insignificant on their own – cause Sunset to reflect on how she feels about her new friend and herself. Is she really just trying to be a good friend to Twilight because it's the right thing to do, or do her motives run deeper than even she realizes?

In those weeks, Ultrabyte has trained a decent amount of other students at Canterlot City on switching between body and computer, with the help of the lead scientist that had helped train her. But of course, problems arise. Other branches of the government find out about the project, and they want in, and for various reasons. But when they find out that somehow, maybe, just maybe, General Burrow survived the explosion of several nuclear warheads within a confined area, everyone starts worrying. After all, Burrow was a dangerous man. Will the trainees be able to master their abilities before anything serious goes wrong? Or will they all fall?

Luster Dawn had always been curious and ambitious so when she was tasked to research about a magical mirror, she didn’t waste any time! Too bad her mother banned her from going further into it, under the reason of “being too much” for her.
