It took so long for them to even say hello. Continuous conversation grew slowly, and a real relationship required sorrow as soil. Growth came as time went by.
But now it's good- perhaps even better than good; a little sweetness within each word.

A Diamond Dog attack has shattered the quiet calmness of the Pie family rock farm. Now besieged in their own home, the Pies grow desperate to find a solution.

As it turns out, one of their four young fillies has a solution in mind—though it's a bit unorthodox.

Rock farms are boring places. Igneous Rock Pie and his best friend Cloudy Quartz want out. Unfortunately for them, destiny has other plans.

This story is a sequel to Life after Death

Starlight and Maud get engaged but didn’t visit the choosing stone first. It was against Pie tradition and Ma isn’t going to forget that. The couple has to got to the farm and make amends. Will it lead to a happy married life or the end of their relationship? Maud isn’t sure. It’s a rock based decision.

It started with two families and a decision for a filly and colt to be brought together.

From the arrangement, a marriage was had and true love was farmed, growing into a family and a strong bond that would last for years to come. 

On quiet nights when it was just the two of them, Cloudy and Igneous put on an old record, dance, and reminisce.

Huzzah, it's Hearthswarming! That means sweets, decorations, and songs abound in the Pie family household. Or it would, if Pinkie wasn't away in Ponyville for a baking internship. So if she's unable to provide such a festive atmosphere, who will preserve the joy of Hearthswarming?
