This story is a sequel to Under the Moonlight

It's been six months since Twilight and Tempest started dating, and word's gotten out. They both have plenty of ponies who support their relationship, as well as a fair few who don't for one reason or another. No matter how hard you push away the negativity, it eventually catches up and becomes too much to bear alone.

Tonight, Twilight and Tempest both ask and answer a simple question: Why me?

Trixie is feeling a little nostalgic one night and decides to spend some time stargazing, like she used to when she was young. Unexpectedly, Twilight shows up and the two strike up a conversation about stars. Eventually, Twilight offers something Trixie wouldn't have believed possible, to see the stars up close and personal.

Lyra Heartstrings has been obsessed with humans ever since she was a little filly, and she is striving to find a way to get to a human world to experience that alien world for herself.

Her friends are worried about her behaviour, especially her marefriend Bon-Bon. They have witnessed failures in her experiments, which causes concern that one of those accidents would turn severe towards her and anypony who are misfortunate enough to be near the fallout.

One day, Lyra received an offer from the Princess of Friendship that she had no reason to refuse. She was thrilled to go there to start her new life, but she was afraid that her marefriend would persuade her not to go or destroy that portal.

After an awful argument turned deadly; as a result, the ponies of Ponyville considered her dead, and her body disappeared from existence... is what the general public thinks.

After Lyra realises she has no reason to stay in her old world, she immediately teleported to the world she desired for so long. However, when she got there, she was immediately greeted by a crying human girl who tackled her and said: “I thought you died…”

The first sentence that Lyra said is, “What just happened?”.

Rarity asking Spike for a favor is nothing new. What is new is that favor being a ruse to get him on a date with a certain filly. But Spike knows better than to resist, and maybe a night with Scootaloo won't be so bad.

When Scootaloo asks Spike to clarify things, however, he decides to be honest. While trying to define what Rarity means to him, perhaps he'll find out what this date means to the both of them.

The ancient and powerful Accipion Empire has conquered every nation on Equus... except one. Despite their apparent weakness, the magic of friendship has protected ponies for many years. Emperor Gaius Renault thought his kind would rule forever, that they would have ample opportunity to conquer their ancient foe.

Nature had other ideas. Beneath their claws was a force of unimaginable power, a volcano whose eruption will devastate the empire and smother their crops for years afterward. Even his most optimistic advisors agree that there is only one choice: evacuation.

Equestria might be friendly, but they are no fools. They send a pony, Starlight Glimmer, to see that the terms of the evacuation are followed, and to help the griffins integrate during their time as refugees in Equestria. But blood runs thick, and old rivalries can't just be forgotten.

The longer Starlight Glimmer watches, the more she is convinced she is witnessing the end of both nations.

Diplomacy amongst nations should be done by highly skilled and intelligent people that have had significant training. In fact, any kind of public spokesperson should be overly qualified before they step out into a spotlight.

Lyra is not particularly skilled. She also has absolutely no training. But, unfortunately for Equestria, that isn't going to stop her.

It started off as another normal Guys Night at the Friendship Castle... Well, as normal as Guys Nights can get anyways. The party of brave ponies and changelings gathers around the table, with Dungeon Master Spike sitting at the head waiting behind his screen. And yet, tensions seem unusually high tonight. Might have something to do with Pharynx being one of those Changelings invited. Oh well, least it can't get any weirder or more awkward than that time Discord was invited... Right?
