It was a pretty nice night for a book to read. The hum of raindrops hitting crystal tiles made the quiet castle calm enough to enjoy a fantasy story. And Starlight was going to do just that, if it wasn't for the small, furry intruder that interrupted her life.

Here are a few one shots, short and small, detailing moments in the lives of these two.

A few months pass since Sunset came back from the island. Amendments are made and school work all caught up; with no signs of magic aside from the portal to Equestria and the Rainbooms themselves, it seems that peace might actually be here for a long time.

A great cost was paid when Sunset went missing, too great, for with out the balance of Sunset's wisdom and understanding, A reluctant evil filled the void, and with it came great suffering, for the evil soon grew into the place, and so did her lust, now the world became a battle ground.

Writing is hard, or at least, that's what most writers say. Can their words be trusted? And just what are words? Do they dictate our worth, the quality of our lives? Spike is very sleepy, but he's equipped with a quill in his claw.

Equestria is Divided, cities and towns compete and vie with each other, sometimes violently. Although Princess Celestia nominally rules the entire nation, in truth the land is splintered by factional and religious conflicts and each city largely fends for itself. Dark powers stir and strange monsters bite and peck at the fringes. This uncertain time lends to many adventurous Ponies making names for themselves, and the fate of the nation is unclear.

But not all is dark in these fraught times. Not all ancient powers are those at work for evil. Three unlikely friends are gifted such powers by a strange spirit, and are called upon by Princess Celestia herself to protect the world from the foul forces that plague it.

-Eclipse Corona, youngest son of an old noble unicorn family that once considered itself Luna’s heralds.
-Red Haze, a wandering unicorn traveling alone, seeking answers to a terrible vision of fire and death.
-Tiny Hooves, A friendly Pony seeking justice, and one with a significant secret… He’s no pony at all.

Along their path they are joined by others, not as powerful but no less heroic.
-Ormr, A yak prodigy sent by the tribe’s ancestors to prevent a foul future.
-Rampart Rock, An Earth pony soldier with a vow to protect others. With his own life if need be.
-Kerrek Shieldglare, A hippogriff thief, exiled from his home, desperate to recover a lost fortune.

These new heroes are watched and judged by Princess Celestia, and by other forces seeking to ascend to greatness and claim ownership of the world.

Chrysalis has had on heck of a month. First, Discord makes a game of pairing her up with Starlight Glimmer, which went entirely better than either of them would have ever expected. Then, as their relationship deepened and Chrysalis settled into her new life in Equestria, Starlight suggested she try stand-up comedy with Maud.

Nopony expected Chrysalis to take the offer seriously, least of all me, the author. But here we are. Is their comedy routine worth continuing, or are they about as popular as... well, Maud by herself? You decide. In the comments, I mean; don't keep that to yourself. Story will be updated whenever it amuses me, depending on reader feedback.
