Ponyville before the Rainboom...

A simpler town from a simpler time. Sure, sometimes something would come out of the Everfree for a bout, but for the most part, everything is pretty normal and relaxed for the quaint town. To most of the residents, this is exactly the way they like things: simple, ordered.

There are others who think the monotony is boring and scream to the heavens asking for adventure.

There are still others who know better - that adventure is around every corner in this town, and it is not as pleasant as many would like to believe.

Ponies are going to start disappearing. There will be a monster, a conspiracy, a crisis. But, for now, none of the ponies are aware of the excitement coming their way. The colts and fillies are preparing for a party - an event rather hard to come by these days. Perhaps they will enjoy their party, perhaps not, it really doesn't matter.

What matters is that danger is out there, and their eyes are about to be opened.

While this is inspired by Stranger Things, this is not a crossover.

Twilight Sparkle is an academically minded pony, and she'd love it more than anything if she could attend Celestia's academy for higher learning.
There's a slight kink in her plans. Her initial essay is rejected. Celestia sends her some essays to help her study for a second chance.

Dash finds herself once more in the nurse's office after being injured at practise. However, Nurse Redheart is more distant than her usual self.

A framed insignia patch and picture sitting on the nurse's desk hints towards the reason, but worries that broaching the question would be asking something too personal.

The story she hears will change her view on the nurse for the rest of her life...

Spike took a walk in Ponyville, and heard something about a gemstone in the Everfree forest, he checked it out, and does not come back, a worried Twilight formed a search party, but after 2 months of searching, he was persume dead.

1 year later a purple alicorn colt is found unconscious on the apple farm, it turns out it was Spike and three certain fillies fall for him, and found out he's remembering little by little and has to deal with a jealous Twilight, when Starlight starts teaching him magic.

Time has passed in Equestria and after years of fighting for Friendship, Twilight is the proud mother of a young colt called Bright Spark, a genius like his mother; but unlike Twilight he’s an evil genius. His goal? To become the greatest villain the world has ever seen, and with the help of his friend Luminosité (daughter of Rarity) and the Code of the Villains, nopony will stop him.

Sunset knows that Twilight is still new to this whole friendship thing, but when the girls decide to invite her to a party to help loosen her up she decides to tag along to look out for her. But what if Twilight see this as something more than simply friendship?
