And that's a wrap. It started out as an open-ended slice of life story, but quickly mutated into an adventure sort of thing. And now, with the Griffish Insurgency coming to an end, Gilda and her unicorn are moving on with life.

I've got some plans for a follow-up, but maybe not immediately. We'll see what pushes to the front of the line.

So, two weeks ago when I was driving down to Florida, I had meant to work on some of my existing unfinished stories. That didn't happen. Instead, I ended up doing a bunch of free-associating, and that turned into... well, another incomplete story, a service comedy about Gilda being shanghaied into a colonial branch of the Equestrian military dedicated to maintaining Celestia's imperial control over the Griffish Isles.
