As many of you have noticed, I have finally set Second Chances, Many Changes to "completed." I very much enjoyed writing this story, and I look forward to writing more stories. However, I do need a bit of a break. This month I have a lot of home improvements that need to get done before Fall really sets in, and I need to work out exactly what I want to write next. Hello, all. After much consideration based on reader feedback, I removed a scene from Chapter 49 of Second Chances, Many Changes. It involved Candy talking to a pegasus named Summer Wind who was working at the hayburger place and was attending the same high school that Candy was going to in the fall. Just a brief note that I will be posting the next chapter of Second Chances, Many Changes this Sunday (7/17).

Just a brief note that the next update for Second Chances, Many Changes will be this Saturday (normally would be Friday, but I need an extra day to work out some critical details in the next chapter)

I discovered this morning to my utter delight that my wonderful wife had gotten me an unexpected birthday present. She had commissioned a mutual friend of ours on tumblr to do cover art for my story. I think it came out quite well, and I've already uploaded it.

I have finished a large round of editing on my story Second Chances, Many Changes. as I stated before, those who have already read the chapters likely don't need to go back and read it (though since this was based on some critical feedback, it would be nice if those who made those comments could peruse them and see if there is any improvement). This does not change the plot going forward, so if you don't re-read them, the rest of the story will still make perfect sense.

First off, thank you for the feedback and discussion for the most recent chapters of my story. I will respond to comments in another day or so.

I need to delay my next update for a few days. I have not yet had a chance to start on the first draft of the next chapter, and this weekend will be rather busy with chores around the house, not to mention the editing I'm planning on doing for some existing chapters.

Based on recent critical feedback of my story Second Chances, Many Changes, once I post Chapter 35 (so I don't leave readers in suspense as to what happens next), I will be pausing to do some re-editing of the previous couple of chapters to address some issues noted in the changeling subplot. Normally I don't do rewrites in the middle of posting a story, but where I believe I can do this without altering the plot, I'd like to take the time now to do this.

Hello, all. I need to make a minor adjustment to the update schedule for Second Chances, Many Changes.

I will be posting chapter 26 this evening (4/25) as originally planned. Chapter 27 would normally post this Friday on 4/29. However, I will need to work late that day, so I won't have time to do the final polish on the chapter. I need to bump that update to Saturday on 4/30. A normal update schedule of every-fourth-day should resume from that point on.

I've been meaning to make this blog post for a week now, but things kept coming up (like working on Part Two )

So, overall, I'd like to consider the story a success. By no means does that mean my story is perfect. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have upvotes, as it helps bring in more readers, but it's not the whole story. I've found the comments much more valuable, especially those offering criticism.
