...I think I've come to a satisfying conclusion to the next chapter. I just finished the rough draft and am about to go to sleep. I'll do a final run through tomorrow and then The Siege of Oasis Springs will finally be fking ready!

Hey all, quick update: story not dead, I've just been working on a variety of other projects and working 50+ hour weeks.

The next chapter: The Siege of Oasis Springs was actually finished before I realized that the ending was st and decided that a re-write was in order (just the ending). I managed to get a nice chunk done today though there's still a lot that needs to happen before it's ready.

So yeah, stay tuned!

I've had some bad writers block for a while now. Even with COVID cutting my working hours in half and fewer distractions to deal with, it's been a pain in the butt to get my creativity out onto the pages.

Just wrote myself into a hole that I'm chipping slowly away at.

So as you all have possibly noticed, the last chapter hasn't come out yet. The story is not cancelled (and never will be, I've spent too much time on this to back out now), I've simply taken a slight hiatus from writing. I've been dealing with a lot of stress at work and my new schedule doesn't allow for a proper sleep cycle (I've had raccoon eyes for at least the past few months straight) so suffice to say I haven't had a lot of time to write.

Dunno how it is (I've got a feeling it's not so hot towards the end), but here's a sneak peek...

The water cart looked like any of the other wagons at a first glance: wooden, tarp covered, two axles, and a pair of pullers hitched to the front. But at a second glance, it was a tad wider and was somewhat beefier, as if designed to carry a heavier-than-average load...like water.

I'm happy tor report that the next chapter should be entering the editing phase soon, much earlier than I expected!
