When writing, I tend to look on Youtube, browsing for hours looking for music that speaks to me. It can't be just a sad tone, or a happy theme, or a dramatic orchestration. It has to be a theme that works identically with the story being told. The transitions made in the flow of the narrative, working into the very emotions being presented.
