And neither is the fic with these two in it. I've just had a tough holiday season, a roommate moving out, a roommate moving in, playtests for All The Pretty Little Horses Adventures, and several late paychecks.

Yeah, at this point I've blown through two self-imposed deadlines. Time to admit that I need a break.

A World, Reflected is on hiatus until after the holidays. Hopefully I'll still write some chapters anyway and build up a backlog, but I'm not posting new content until 2016. The holidays and other projects, including paying ones, are eating too much of my brainspace

I haven't forgotten about AWR. Just been absorbed/consumed by Undertale and my own financial and medical situation, which isn't the greatest.

But.

I'm going to be publishing another chapter of this before October is out, possibly another two if I bang it out fast enough.

I STARTED IT WITH THE WRONG DAMN SCENE. Once I changed the order of events around so that 'they went to see our Shmendrick' first, the rest was easy.

My laptop has returned from the grave, and so have I. Expect me to update again; I've already released Chapter 8 of A World, Reflected. Do let me know what mistakes I've made; reading it out loud to a friend only works so well for editing.

Also, would someone mind pointing me to the original Conversion Bureau? I've just realized something.

Seen it. Definitely know what directions to take A World, Reflected and it's sequel now.

It was much, much better than the original and a good movie in it's own right. Flash was useless again, but in this case it really wasn't his fault so that's a wash. I'm amused that Twilight essentially had to rescue him.

Also stay for the stinger at the end of the credits. Definitely worth your time.

I haven't seen it yet, for starters. I'm increasingly of the opinion I need to, given the spoilers that I've already gotten and how they're going to affect A World, Reflected.

I'm pretty sure all the major grammatical errors and dropped bold/italics tags have been quashed: writing with *asterisks for bold* and _underscores for italics_ helped.

In the process of preparing for Chapter 6, I noticed something... out of whack in Chapter 3. Specifically, the elemental associations. I've since fixed it.

That's all. Probably should have Chapter 6 up this week.

I cannot beleive how much of a pain formatting that thing was. Let me know if I've screwed that up.

I'm off to write something else, then back to this.

Not as much as I'd feared, but I need to rewrite the ending of Chapter 5. So that will be up soon for the prereaders.

Work on Chapter 5 of A World, Reflected (tentatively: "A House, Divided") is progressing. Chapter 5 is likely to be longer than the others (just so there's room for Twi to meet everyone) and that's probably going to continue going forward; this is where the story is kicking into high gear and close to the pinch in Act 2: Syd Field's term for the midpoint of a story, the moment when the protagonist stops reacting and starts acting and going on the offensive.
