So, I haven't updated in a while. Mostly because of the Army keeping me busy for a few weeks and work making me close up shop a lot lately, which means I go home and veg out before going to sleep.

However, not all was lost in that time.

I made numerous fixings to the previous chapters. I spent hours doing some tidying up, especially with the dialogue (special shout out to Ghost-091 for that rubric on proper dialogue).

I finished those chapters I was working on, which means I now have to work on a few more chapters from the ground up. But I feel as if I've gotten a system down pat. Which is good, it means I can add more to the story more efficiently.

Hell, within a week I managed to add over 17,000 words and like 4 chapters. I think that's pretty good.

So, Like I mentioned in another blog post. I work on about 3 chapters at a time, putting in a rough outline and fleshing them out from there in a chronological order. It also helps to keep me from painting myself into a corner and having to use the "Deus ex Machina" which I REALLY hate.

Next chapter of the rewrite is up. I originally intended to put it up last week with about an 1800 word count and use it as a transition chapter, but I decided to flesh it out. Which in the end felt like a good thing.

Well, I've currently restarted work on the Interloper and a good portion has changed. I'm currently working on Chapters 3, 4, and 5 as I type this up. The rewritten chapters have been posted and the great Maromar for volunteering to clean up the mess I make as I write this story. And definitely thanks to the readers willing to read the drivel!

So, I've been thinking about bringing down The Interloper and rewriting the first 8 or so chapters. I feel like I wrote myself into a corner and I'm all out of ideas. Thoughts?

First things, I'm not a natural writer by any means. I've decided to try my hand at it out of boredom more than anything. And I've been drawing a universe together and thought, "let's mix this with ponies." And the hot pile of garbage known as The Interloper was born.

Anyways, what I really need is a proofreader since I'm cracking this story out at the end of the day when I'm dead tired. Also lack a direction, I just write with no clear goal in mind.
