For Labor Day, I just want to take a moment to commemorate the heroes of the labor movement who fought to give us the 40 hour work week, the weekend, safer work conditions, and protection from child exploitation in the workplace.
So as I've stated through several blogs, I attended BronyCon over the weekend. Normally, I would have posted a wrap-up blog the day I got back, but something very terrible happened in real life that had to take precedent. More info on both below.
Episode Review

So we start out with Twilight getting up early in the morning and being super adorable. And, hoo boy, there's a whole lot to discuss in just this first scene alone. Where to start... how about with...

It's 37 outside - 2 for our metric readers - and wet. We've been having a drizzling rain almost all day and I'm cold. Not freezing, just cold - that annoying kind of cold that seeps into every last inch and the only thing that helps is blankets and layered clothing.

Welcome to an image-heavy Bronycon Wrap-Up!
This was my first year I got to go and actually see the convention. The first 2 years I went, I was vending my fabulous soaps, but that meant I was stuck in the vendor hall and couldn't do much. This year, due to some life circumstances, I couldn't afford a vendor booth, but I COULD afford to go! So I did.
And so it ends, finally! With the enormous editing process done, I can finally say put this fic to bed and start moving onto writing other things outside of this story! It’s honestly a relief. I really want to get back to Chrysalis and Applejack. But first, we need to talk about some stuff for the fans of this fic.
One of the central themes of the early seasons was stewardship. Ponies need nature. Nature needs them. And ponies need each other. In order to successfully maintain the basic needs of the ecosystem and of the community, everypony has to labor together harmoniously.
So.
It's kinda obvious from these past couple months that Worlds Reset is far out of my center of focus at this point. I've changed my plans from treating the story as flagship-status to seeing it as any other story, as well as tightening up the timeframe for the story.
My problem is that I don't really know enough about ASOIF to write the actual crossover.
My thought process:
That's right, folks, the day after tomorrow is Winter Wrap up! And, it's the first Pony Holiday since the completion of The Sunset Also Rises.

One Winter Wrap-Up, Pipsqueak found himself in a bit of a pickle which the CMC, bless them, were unable to properly free him from.
Fortunately, Dinky Doo and Tootsie Flute came prepared.
The correct way to prise a tongue frozen to cold metal with warm water and patience.
(Did anypony else notice that Twilight Sparkle used DARK MAGIC to turn the alicorn potion from purple to white to divine why Luna and Celestia were missing in the episode Princess Twilight Sparkle?)
Methinks the little alicorn Princess is holding back on us *grin*.

I have always loved Derpy Hooves. I have read a few stories about her, but I never fully understood her cutie mark. Everyone always says she's an airhead or something. But then I saw this picture and my mind was blown.
