I'm not afraid of thunder, but here we almost NEVER have thunderstorms. But there is one coming right now, and I'm home alone!

Me: The phone didn't ring. You're hearing rain.
Her: No the phone rang about 2 minutes ago
Me: You just hearing the rain. Go back to sleep

Her: What was that?
Me: Thunder
Her: Tell the neighbors to keep it down
Me: It was thunder Grandma. Not the neighbors

Well I meant to have this done Monday, but then life happened.
Anyhow, we really just had the battle today, since I don't usually have a lot of time over the weekend to video game.
A rumble of powerful thunder sounding like God aimed a perfectly-executed strike and I babbed my pants. Damn, that was loud! (The thunder, I mean, not my...nevermind )

Okay, I have been waiting for a while now to make sure, but now it's the end of October, and it looks like there won't be any more thunderstorms coming this year. This means, Thunderstorm Story will have an intermission until late Spring, when the next thunderstorms are to expect.

And the story already continues! This happened faster than I thought. There was a short thunderstorm on Monday and this means I could sit down and write the first update after the start and initial announcement.
I want to try out another writing experiment. A couple weeks ago, I was sitting here at my computer during a thunderstorm at night, when I suddenly heard the crying of a little girl coming in through my open window. Followed by a flash of lightning. It was an eerie cry and it got me to think about what things might lurk outside during such a thunderstorm in the middle of the night.
