SPRING BREAKDOWN SPOILER WARNING!
Sunset Shimmer to Princess Twilight: "We're back!"
To everyone interested in my project to commission some Particle Physics inspired stories, I am hoping to launch this soon, but it’s taking a bit of time to get everything ready. And I keep getting distracted by other things. More soon. Meanwhile…
Question: Do any of you have a Youtube Channel?
First off, looks like INEVITABILITY made it to the featured box. Woo! (It's still there if you turn on your Mature filter, even. Guess people like butts more than they do weird metatext crossover fiction). Go figure.
And also, as a bit of a surprise, NEW PONE. That I only found out about 'cause PresentPerfect blogged about it. Blame him.
SPOILERS FOLLOW, if you are worried about such things.
So, I finally got a moment to sit down and enjoy the latest Equestria Girls mini-movie, Spring Breakdown. Now, like my previous posts on the EQ mini-movies, I will be breaking down the pros and cons of the movie before giving my final opinions on it.
Also, if you haven’t seen the mini-movie yet, then this is an obvious *Spoiler* warning right here. If you haven’t watched this mini-movie yet, then you may want to pass this review up until you have. You have been forewarned.
Something that was touched upon by Molininous in his Cinema Sins parody of Spring Breakdown when he brought attention to Sunny Bunny's necklace.
Of all the girls, she is the only one wearing a particular type of necklace, as shown in the pic below:
From Urban Dictionary:
SciSet. It has to be canon. After Forgotten Friendship when Sunset only hugs Twilight after regaining her memories, the amount of time the two spent together in Roller Coaster Of Friendship and now this scene in Spring Breakdown:
There is no way in Tartarus that Sunset and SciTwi aren't dating off screen.
Prove me wrong...
EDIT: Here's the full scene:
0/10 - AWFUL (unsalvageable, nothing to be gained from watching it, never should have been made, wouldn't recommend to anyone, completely butchers an important subject/teaches a horrible and downright toxic moral)
1/10 - HORRIBLE/BORING (tedious to sit through, hurts to watch it, a bore, no reason to watch it, whatever positive things about it are tiny and not enough to save it)
Grading Scale:
A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
B- (a good episode with numerous flaws but still rewatchable)
I had a thought last night with the announcement that the next major EQG special, "Spring Breakdown," is due to air March 30th.
In Spring Breakdown:
Rainbow Dash: I'm talkin' rainbow lasers!
Sunset Shimmer: Is that a thing?
Fascinating question...
We return to animation with a bang and several buckets’ worth of shenanigan potential. Let’s begin
Just returned from a week in my current favourite country Finland, where I went to a ShowScience workshop in Turku. I was travelling with a large suitcase full of physics toys. Just the basics: cloud chamber, silicon detector, radioactive objects, Lego kits, LHC posters; as well as an electron, proton, positron, Z boson; up, down, top, bottom, strange and anti-charm quark plushies; and laptop loaded with virtual model of ATLAS detector. I was very restrained in my packing compared to some
Okay, I know that this post is over a month overdue, going by the YouTube release dates, but between studying and an upcoming move, I just haven’t found the time to write about it. I did like it more than “Rollercoaster of Friendship,” but ugh! I still had a pretty hard time enjoying it. I mean, I spent most of the special being SUPER ANNOYED with Rainbow Dash. I mean, she’s at the bottom of my best main cast list as both a human and a pony, but this special just pushed
Honestly, this special just reminded me why, for the most part, I've never got as invested in EqG as I have in FiM.
