EFNW should be a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to it and I'm hoping nothing catastrophic happens in the meantime.
Really need to stop saying things like this.
Story of the Week is now over. I'm sorry to those who liked it. But I keep forgetting about it, and I haven't updated it since... August 15!
I've really enjoyed it, but it's over now. Maybe one day I'll bring it back.
Thank you for understanding.
Summer time here in New England, and I couldn't be gladder for it. Granted, I don't have a ton of free time, what with work and family commitments and that sort of thing...
But.
I'm writing again. Finally.
I'm not sure when I'll get anything out, but I'm doing a rewrite of an old story of mine, originally written for the October 2014 Writeoff, reworking and extending it for posting on Fimfiction, so I'll hopefully have that out sometime this summer.
Before I get on with the SOTW, I want to say that I will be announcing the winners to my writing contest tomorrow! I'm just as anxious as you guys!
Now, the story of the week:
One Sided Crush by Arctofire
Long Description of Story:
Set in season two canon.
Nearly everyone knows that Spike has a crush on Rarity. Even if they haven't been told directly, the evidence isn't exactly hard to interpret.
But what happens when that crush goes to far.....?
Hiya! SOTW time!

Welcome back! Now, for SOTW!
Just a Bad Colt by LightningSword
Long Description of Story:
Sent to the corner three times in one week . . .
Hi everyone,
Chapter 2 of Prismatic is nearly finished. My motivation to write has been rather lacking over the past month, but I managed to knock out most of the chapter last week. I am moving again this weekend, so please bear with me just a bit longer.
Happy Half-Birthday to me!

Eat mor chikin!
(Yes, I will spell it like they do at Chick-Fil-A)
Yep, it's my half-birthday today! And I already know what I want my gift to be (I'll post a blog post about it once I see if I get it or not)!
Anyway, SOTW time!
The Phoenix Tear by CartoonNerd12
Hi everyone,
Here on the east coast of the US, it's a few minutes before 7 PM. I just wanted to say thank you for your continued support this year. I was dead set on publishing the rest of Prismatic before midnight, but I've unfortunately come down with a very nasty bug that's essentially bed-ridden me for the last few days to the point where I have a hard time concentrating on anything. Even writing this post hurts my eyes.
Hi, everyone.
Perhaps I'm not as dead as I thought. I'll try to have something out by Halloween, maybe "Antecessor" or "Scentless." Something dark.
Hey folks,
A brief update from last time: I've started working full-time and making strides towards becoming a Fully Functional Adult. So that's pretty cool I guess.
That said, I've accomplished almost nothing on the writing front. I'd hoped to have something ready for Halloween, but between personal life and work, I'm sorry to say that I've got nothing to show for it.
Hey everyone,
Grad school is finally done, and while I'm looking for work, I've started rejoining various Discord servers and becoming more active on Fimfiction than I've been in the last year. I'd forgotten how much I missed reading fiction.
Hi everyone,
For those of you who have recently followed me for Prismatic, welcome! For those of you who have been following me for longer, welcome back! It has been a challenging year thus far, but I'm happy to say that as winter is finally behind us (I still had snow here just last week), my mood and drive to write have exponentially improved.
Catch some news below the break:
Hey everyone,
Prismatic is complete with its second and final chapter, one year after I published the first.
This was not an easy chapter to write, nor the one I originally envisioned in 2017. There's a lot to be said for good intentions.
For now, I am glad to have completed Prismatic. I am proud of how the chapter (and ending) turned out, even though it doesn't line up with what I had initially planned for this story.
