Thank you Hulu, for an absolutely amazing subtitled version.
Thank you Hulu, for an absolutely amazing subtitled version.
Fresh off of Digimon Tamers, I'm taking my longtime friend and former roommate through one of the very last parts of my childhood.
My fiance and I have been streaming the sub version of Sonic X all year.
Now tonight's the night. 77 and 78.
Gotta go to the grocery store to pick up onions and a knife so we have an excuse.
Well, I have been writing fanfiction for 22 years of my life, and have been posting it online for ten of those. But now, I'm stepping into different waters. I'm going to attempt to write an analytical piece.
Sonic X: A Case For Chris
So after he read Chapter 1 of The Fox and the Seedrian, I asked Brady what his expectations were for the future of the story.
His answer awoke quite a beast in my head. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, and I've even got a friend down in Texas involved. Planning on bringing Brady aboard it too. A fan fiction think tank, if you will.
If the three of us had to create a story that would bring a definitive end to the Sonic X continuity... What kind of tale would we weave...?
It has been a month since the defeat of the Metarex, and because of Cosmo's ultimate sacrifice, life goes on; for the universe, for Mobius, and her citizens.
Greetings and Salutations, my name is Wrex and this is my review. The story I'll be reviewing will bring a certain nostalgic feeling. It's 'Sonic X: Friendship is Universal', crossover between MLP and Sonic X. This story brought back memories. This story goes through the 'Sonic X' series, with a lot of personal touches that are very impressive. The accuracy in the description is quite impressive, almost like your watching it on TV. There are some incorrect spelling and usage of profanity, but
You ever wanted to see one hedgehog propose to another? Then have I got some Sonamy here for you. My Sonic X Fan-Finale continues.
These "writer's runs" have been awesome. I haven't written this much this fast since the original Mistress Do Well alternate ending. Hopefully it's not going to slow until this story is done, and due to yesterday's planning, it's now exceeding it's original length, with this story now going to be our "definitive finale" to the Sonic X continuity.
Well, I wrote, quite frankly, a crazy amount last night and overnight.
Here's Chapter 1 of The Fox and the Seedrian: Chili Dogs, Lemonades, and Resurrections.
A bit sooner than I thought it would be out.
Hello, Sonic X fans. This analytical piece is a first for me. The character of Christopher Thorndyke is one of the most polarizing characters in the entire franchise, joining other widely-despised cast members such as Big the Cat, Princess Elise, and Omochao. Fans of the Sonic X anime seem to either hate him, like him, or merely tolerate him. I've tried to gather points of view from all of those areas, and have attempted to create an argument of while Chris certainly has his flaws, he's gotten
Anypony here a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog bcuz of his old anime show, Sonic X? Well I found a great fic called Sonic: Adventures on Earth , where the story is getting a cool & interesting rework by the author, Angelwatt123 and so far the results are
They're getting minimal hits; this is an MLP fansite, and the source material I'm working with is 11-year old Sonic anime material, so it's understandable.
But the urge to write is not going anywhere, so I'm probably going to vanish until it's done, then link the whole thing to those who want to read it.
Last but certainly not least, an artist gave me permission to use a stunning Taismo piece as my cover! Whee!
My second longest one-shot, at 4,020 words. A Sonic X short story, in the same setting as my last non-pony story; Seedling. Both are set in the post-Metarex Saga, and deal mostly with Sonic, Tails and Amy. While this one isn't quite as expansive, I certainly hope this alternate take shows how I've improved since moving to pony fiction six years ago.
For the past year, I've had a story simmering on the back burner to celebrate that anniversary.
Safe to say I've got all the inspiration in the world.
*Sigh*
Whatever, bring it on.
I just feel very, very sorry for all the naive netizens who will be googling 'Sonic X Shadow' for the rest of the year.
The subbed version of Sonic X puts your abilities to shame.
You tap on the fourth wall, occasionally.
But Sonic and company (mostly Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe)? They smash it, for three continuous minutes, completely acknowledging their existence in a cartoon. Even Amy has gone and deliberately called out the show by name, telling Sonic he's the hero of it and he should act like it.
I'm speaking primarily of Episodes 20 and 26 so far... Sweet Celestia. Just finished Season 1.
Warning: Non-pony.
Whew. Leave it to finale fever to push me to finish a oneshot that's been sitting on the back burner for half a year.
A short sequel to The Fox and the Seedrian, this time focusing on everyone's least favorite human.
Not terribly shabby, for six hours work. I haven't touched a video editor in five years.
