According to the person who uploaded this to YouTube, this was taped on a night when the station presently known as CTV Montreal encountered a variety of technical problems (some of the people who commented on it have noted that a few of those occur during the sign-off.)

Perhaps the most unique sign-off in TV history was aired by WLWI, when it was an ABC affiliate. It featured the zooming out of a model of their TV studio - which is suddenly blown up right in the middle of it. VO is by David Letterman, who got his start at this station.

The station was renamed WTHR in 1976. It switched network affiliation to Letterman's first network home, NBC, in 1979.
