Haven't seen the season finale yet, but this gif... · 7:57pm Nov 28th, 2015
The only conclusion I can draw from this is that guys in snazzy suits are trouble!

I've just finished watching the season finale, and this is the second time the writers threw a wrench into my plans. Amusingly, with the tree of Harmony again, this time with added Starswirl. Unfortunately, the whole plot point with Starswirl's journal makes my path with the third Blade of Balance a bit more difficult to write. Plus, the origin of the Tree of Harmony.
Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
I don't know why, but I feel like I want to avoid the season finale. Not because of a fear of the show ending, but (I think) because I know what Starlight Glimmer will be doing, and how badly she'll throw everything off. I don't want to see the perfect world we've seen get screwed up, and I don't want to see characters change from the ones we've seen to something different and possibly unpleasant.
Well, I decided to see the finale. I'm not sure if it's been officially aired yet or not, or if it's still just available because of it being aired early in another country, but I saw it. Thoughts which include spoilers after the break.
From Season Premieres to Season Finales, just as it's important to start off on a good note it's equally important to end on a good note. You've heard people complain all the time about how bad endings can ruin a movie or a video game, and the same can hold true for shows. Sometimes all it can take is one bad finale to irreversably damage your following and aliennate fans. But of the 8 finales to consider, which ones stood out the most for better or for worse, and why? How did the finales
So I just got done watching Canned Cream's and Brawny Buck's reviews of the season finale and when the question of why Twilight thought the Nightmare Moon future was worse then the previous two come up and this is my two bits.
From what I saw at the end of the most recent episodes end (the book in the barrel in the last scene) and the description I read on direct tv for the finale I think they are finally using something from the comics as I think the pony if shadows ( who the tv description mentions ) is the evil ancester that the pony who was erasing all knowledge of from the world in an attempt to keep him from coming back.
At least they waited until I'd finished the story before pulling the rug out.
The finale of Season Five starts half an hour early. In my case, that's 8 AM PT instead of 8:30 PT. Presumably this is because they want their two-part episode done so The LIttlest Pet Shop can air on time.
Anyway, thought some of you might like to know!
Also, there are rumors that it leaked early, so BEWARE SPOILERS.
EDIT: Also, A Very Minty Christmas is on this evening/afternoon, so if you are curious about G3, you might want to set your DVR.
The good news: they aired episode 25 in the UK
The bad news: I WATCHED IT!!
In the Sombra timeline, she had a metal wing! It could have been armour, but none of the other pegasi had anything like it, which leads me to believe it was a replacement for a wing lost in battle. What do you think? Is there an amputee story group? 'Cause that would be awesome.
For those who have seen the new episode, you know how there are many alternate realities. (This is not a roleplay, simply a few comments must for fun) So for today's activity, we'll take your oc or ponysona and list what they were doing during...
Sombras War
Were they fighting for Celestia? Were they fighting for the adversary? Maybe they were canning food or helping the injured!
The Chrysallis Resistance
CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD
Well folks, it's time. With the final finale behind us it's time to see how all the season finales stack up and where the last one lands. Do note that I'm going to include "The Last Problem" alongside "The Ending of the End" since ultimately all three were bundled together and "The Ending of the End" does tie in loosely with "The Last Problem" when all is said and done. And remember that we're not only looking at how these episodes fared individually but also how they function as a send off for
With the exception of Season 3 (which was a half season) every season has run on for 26 episodes that can be said to be divided into two halves of 13 episodes a piece. At the least since Season 5 it's become a trend to split the season into those halves, and that means the first half is a finale unto itself, a finale that has to tide fans over while the hiatus is ongoing. But we'll also be considering those midway points from seasons that didn't need to break up the run time so heavily (and
Since I'm going in to work really early today, I don't have time to update the episode rankings to incorporate all the new episodes. Instead, now that "Between Dark and Dawn" has aired in the U.S. and we're in the mid season hiatus for the last time, it's time to see how the mid season finales stack up as a whole and where the newcomer lands. As always, this list is purely the result of my personal opinion so please respect it.
Humans used to say the best Star Trek movies are the even ones. I always thought they weren’t giving enough credit to 3 and 5. Anyhow, there seems to be a similar trend with MLP season finales. If not the best, even numbered season finales seem to be the most well recieved.
Even:
Season 2 - Changeling Invasion
Season 4 - Dragon Ball
Season 6 - Pony Suicide Squad
Odd
Season 1 - Whole episode dedicated to formal party faux pas.
So, having watched the leaked season finale because Changelings, I'm doing a very intense and analytical review in this blog. I'm sure you're all keen to really get to grips with just what happened in the long anticipated end to the season, and I'm so glad to present to you this essay.
Are you ready?
Oh.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
Well then.
Quite a few people seem upset at the finale because Starlight wasn't 'punished' for her actions. I personally didn't like her backstory, nor did I like the need to throw in a Freudian excuse for her actions, but the resolution of her not getting punished and becoming Twilight's student is actually a great ending that I'll defend.
Since I already watched the series finale the other night (and was spoiled on a couple details prior to that), I already have a plan in mind for a Teen-Rated story that involves Discord after the events of Episodes 24 & 25. The oneshot will be published sometime in the next few days, and is currently In-Progress to read on my Official Patreon Page. I have about 1,000 words written so far, but I intend on writing out a lot more tonight:
