Does anybody really fall for such ham-fisted scams?
Once again, if you find yourself receiving this message in either your PMs or as a comment from this person, please do not reply, it is likely a scam.
This is the latest one, please be aware, if you get a message from this, it's likely to be a scam.
Ahh, another one to add to the collection. And another one to warn everyone not to respond to. If anyone got a similar message such as this, it's most likely a scam.
Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,
By now some of you may have noticed there has been an uptick in these scams where you may get posted through your PMs or in the comments about how someone is interested in bringing your stories to life through a comic and found it so inspirational that they're interested in doing a comic once a week and they just want to talk to you over Discord.
Once again, if you encounter this in your PMs, do not reply, it's likely to be a scam.
You all know the drill. If you see this pop up on your PM's, it's likely a scam.
When I got into the car earlier after school, my mom was hysterically laughing. Why?
She was trolling a scammer into oblivion.
Turns out that she got a call from the "IRS" about an arrest warrant out for her, but instead of ignoring the message from the already-sketchy phone number, she just straight up dialed in.
And flooded them with question. After. Question.
Hey folks!
I know I have some of you added on Discord.
I got a strange message from someone this morning "from" someone on FIMFiction inviting me to a Discord server. Said server requested that I scan a QR code to join it using my mobile Discord app.
I'm 99.9% certain that it is just a way to hijack people's accounts, doubly so as I was unable to reply to the person in question.
I've noticed the ads on YouTube seem to be displaying A LOT of "free" $100 PSN or some other gift cards, it HAS to be a scam, there's NO WAY that's just for free, what do you guys think?
Once again, this is an alert for everyone to keep an eye out on. Another bot has popped up, and if anyone has come across this, do not respond.
I basically just made another blog post, and what do I see there? Plastered right between the post and the comments below, a scam add denoting 'World Best Flashlight'.
And yes, world. Not 'worlds'. They didn't even take the effort to make their damned add believable. If you click on the link-

Short and to the point. FFLLAS is done out to the eleven chapter point. I'm struggling a little getting Chapter 11 (which has symbolic importance to any Flim-Flam story) to line up just right, but in *theory* I could start posting today. (Which I'm not)
I got a weird note on DA from someone I've never heard of, asking me to sign up on this link: https://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://id8246.yourgirl.us and follow her so she can send me "hot pics". I haven't clicked the link yet.
Tell me, is this another scam?
If you ever receive an email like this, beware! It is a scam!
RE: URGENT ROYAL DECREE
Greetings [insert title] Friend,
I am a princess from the kingdom of Neigh-geria. You are receiving this email because i am yur long-lost cousin and you are an descendant of the Neigh-gerian kingodm.
There are a lot of blogs, posts, and news articles out there decrying the pricing of the big publisher's books. They make regular appearances on smaller author's sites, reddit's r/books, and very frequently in the circles of indie authors. "Publishers are making their books too expensive!" they cry. Look at the price of these books!
I have been trying to sell my guitars before I moved back home because I both needed the extra free space and the money. One of these guitars happens to be one of the most collectible and increasingly sought after Fender Jag-Stangs. Mine was from the last run, so it makes it more special.
