hi guys, Crimson here. So I finally wrote the final chapter to this story, although there will be an epilogue to follow before I am officially done with this 'book'. So here's something I wanted to bring up really quickly. I have been arguing with myself for months now about a particularly heated moment from chapter thirty three, one that although makes sense, does not help the story considering where it is placed at. So I changed it a bit, hopefully to match the themes a little more.
So, working on this latest episode, a few episodes ahead of what was posted, I've done some research into ballet dancing, and have decided on how I feel a contemporary dance company in Canterlot would work. Right now, I need to do a minor retcon of one little scene in Episode 5, when they're talking about Sunny's mom and her schedule, so it will reflect these new ideas.

Firstly, an open question: Should I announce new stories and chapters via blog? I see a lot of other people do it, and I'm not sure why. Logically, anyone who follows me is going to see the story announcements and anyone who follows the story is going to see the new chapter notifications and the story itself in the appropriate bookshelves. Still, I figure there's some reason behind it.
When I went back to complete PGS four years ago, and decided to revise and rewrite earlier chapters to close certain plot holes or change certain elements that struck me as problematic to the narrative, I told myself that I would use the boundless powers of revision and retroactive continuity sparingly. I've finally finished the final chapter of Case Eleven, and am planning on releasing it as soon as it's proofread just so I can get this case over with.
I haven't seen "Forgotten Friendship" in full yet, but from what bits I saw on YouTube, my own headcanon got screwed (namely, that Sunset never got back to Equestria and never saw Princess Twilight and Princess Celestia until the events of Fallout: Equestria Girls).
Expect some retcon. There won't be much, but Chapter 31 at least will have to be re-written a bit.

As I've been working on Nightmare Night lately and will continue to do so for at least a couple more chapters--I have momentum and a desire to keep working on it at this point since it's near its climax--I haven't put in much work on Firefly lately. There is, however, news on it. The VA work for Firefly continues, and several pieces of artwork/advertising are on the way. Few things. First, you may have noticed that Salvation just updated. There are only two chapters remaining, and I expect to have them out by the end of the year.
Second, I just finished doing something unusual with Salvation -- I retconned it. When I started writing this story, three years ago, things were a lot different. Twilight was still a unicorn, the library tree still existed, there was no castle, there was no crystal empire, etc, etc.
Though I made some additions and edits, and will probably make a few more during this weekend's editing passes, the chapter belongs to Denim_Blue, so he gets to write the author's note and reply to comments on it. I'm very lucky to have a pair of prereaders who have contributed to the story not just with edits and comments, but by offering up their species headcanon for the story's use--AJ_Aficionado for the thestrals, and Denim_Blue for the Changelings. It's time for the latter to take center
There we go, I re-wrote chapter twenty, altering a few scenes, and adding some more in. I still think this isn't the best chapter, but I believe I got rid of the most glaring of the mistakes. I will be reworking some chapters in the future because of this and other things that have been brought to light, but that's the good thing about updating one chapter at a time - it gives me a chance to edit once I realize what's gone wrong.
