People who've kept up with PGS will know that the most recent chapters have dealt with an excursion to find and rescue Rainbow Dash after her presumed death in the Castle of the Two Sisters. You may also be aware of a very curious conundrum that's plagued the story ever since the chapter with that scene was published.
Just finished my pass through chapter ten, which means that I've officially gone through and revised every chapter of PGS up until the most recent one. While the story's still far from perfect, it's at least better than it was, and I don't cringe quite as hard when I reread it. Go read it and see for yourself, if you like.
Astonishingly, I sometimes have ideas that don't revolve around pony espionage.
I've had a couple of ideas in addition to the Solid Snake and Twilight Sparkle Show, one of which I posted last night. It answers the age-old question that nobody asked of "what, exactly, does Luna do on nights where she doesn't have to solve ponies' emotional hang-ups in their dreams?" The answer might interest you. In theory, anyway.
1. I was going to wrap up editing on the previous chapters of PGS today so that I could get started in earnest on the next chapter, but I came down with a really painful headache that made me really not want to spend four hours editing three fairly dense chapters. So I settled for just going through the two Interludes. That leaves about 40-50k words of real story to go.
For context, each of the chapters in the 20k range takes about an hour and a half to go through.
"I'm just – we were just concerned for you. You've shut yourself up in the boutique; you won't answer the door; you've worked through the night... Rarity, have you rested at all since we got back?"
"So what if I haven't?" Rarity replied, growing defensive. "Work happens to be very relaxing for many ponies, myself included. It keeps body and mind occupied, and holds troublesome thoughts and feelings at bay!"
I'm going open this by saying it is hard to write a good crossover, and that's not even going into the fact that you're essentially dividing up your reader base.
It's the sixth anniversary of Pony Gear Solid, or as near to it as we'll get without the original Google documents. You know what that means...!
The quality of today's story is both moving and instructive.

It's redundant and, with that redundancy, begins to seem meaningless. But since I do appreciate my followers, I always struggled to find a way to thank them. It's finals and it is much easier to read in what little free time I have than to work hard at non-assignment writing.
