Now that I've got a decent phone, I've started playing Pokémon GO; I'm out of the house four days a week anyway, so it gives me something to do (even if it is a huge drain on both my battery and PAYG credit).

Pokémon has changed a lot since I was a kid; back in my day, there were only 151 of them. This game has three hundred to capture, so I have clearly been lacking heavily in the 'Keeping Up With The Times' department.

Its finally here! Pokemon GO has been released to the public and I must say I am enjoying every moment of it! It's awesome! I've already caught myself an Eevee, Cubone, and a few others. Sadly the game has only reached the UK and not the US yet, but that didn't stop me!
If you're a Pokemon fan then I highly recommend going out of your way to grab this game and begin walking, running, trotting, (whatever) in an attempt to catch 'em all!

I've been super lazy/busy this week, what with work and pokemon go out in NA. I've been trying to balance catching them all and writing, which hasn't worked that well. My initial hype is dying down though, so things should pick up now. Thanks for reading...by the way, what team did you pick?

So far it could only be installed on my phone since my tablet isn't compatible with the app. Right now I need a GPS signal, otherwise I won't be able to move and catch a Charmander. Only time will tell before I could say my final thoughts.

To recap, I tried one of only twenty pancakes made at a popular restaurant, valiantly fought alongside a bunch of Japanese to capture a Rhydon in Pokemon Go, helped some French tourists order amazing yakitori, and (most importantly of all) saw One Piece: Film Gold and it kicked so much ass! Dear lord, it's been an amazing day and it's only my first full day in Osaka!

So probably the biggest news in the gaming industry this week is the revealing of Pokemon GO, an alternate reality game set in the Pokemon universe. It's being developed by Niantic, known for their GPS-enabled alternate reality game, Ingress.

As a fledgling Level 6 Ingress player, I figured Niantic had to have something up their sleeve when they announced their splitting from Google.
