I flew to Los Angeles and back this week*, and watched several movies on the plane.
I'm on record talking shit about people who only watch TV/Anime/movies—never reading—and then inflict prose upon the New Column. However, that's not to say there aren't great writing lessons to be learned from movies, so long as it's part of a balanced, good-prose-heavy diet.
JOJO Inherited Soul event confirmed Stone Ocean will finally get an anime adaptation with Jolyne Cujoh being voiced by Ai Fairouz. (You know her as the voice of Hibiki from Dumbbell anime)
Can't wait for it! :)
Here's a trailer
I kinda have an idea where terramar and silverstream inspire their mother. They inspire her to decide to choose to live on land and sea as a hippogriff and a sea pony, like her sister and niece also have chosen.
She loves the ocean, but she also remembers enjoying memories on Mount Aris too, with her family. So she decides to live on both sides.
For his part, Sky Beak also decides to do something similar. The two wanting to keep both parts of themselves in their hearts.
I've recently come to a realization.
In a lot of stories on here, authors tend to use salt as a substitute for alcohol in the world of ponies.
Appaloosa and similar Western themed towns often have bars called "The Salt Lick" or something similar.
So, here's my question: If ponies treat salt like booze, then would a pony visiting the ocean by like a human visiting a giant (free) brewery?
Y’all remember a couple of weeks back when I posted a story about a pony complaining about it snowing weeks after Spring started?
You’ll never guess what it did last Monday.

In the past week I have made breakthroughs in terms of writing that really make me happy. In the last ten-ish days, I think I wrote 13,000 words, which if you ask me is hell of a lot of words. Where do they come from? Beats me with a stick! And what is to top it all off, I think these sections will really rock you! They are really punchy! I've made worlds of improvement in writing in the past year. I feel like I am starting to get the hang of pulling on those writing energies out of the aether.
It wouldn’t be a proper con without at least one fic inspired by the con, now would it?
Y’all know me, and y’all know that I write a lot, so you’d think I’d be good at doing this, but. . . .
AShadowOfCygnus has recently published a new story:
and I highly recommend it.
I've described him, but never illustrated him. Here's what he looks like-
And here's his dragon (spoiler for chapter five! Just the scene in the picture shows a part in the next chapter.)
Please listen to this beauty before it gets copyrighted.
