New story set in the Scorchedquestria story that's going to be important for Babel. Not required reading but definitely would be helpful! This is the journal that Rose Wreath retrieved from King Bullion's vault after all.
Also it was written in collaboration with my good friend Lion who put in a lot of work into creating the language in this story.
My new fic features the adventurous Daring Do! The story will clock in at around 40k words. At least, that's what the rough draft says. I'll be releasing new chapters as I edit them, so I already have a release schedule in mind. This is technically a sequel to The Diamond Dog's guide to Engineering, making it an addition to the the Observations Universe, but I won't add the links until the connections are made within the story arc.

Who of us ever envisioned that we'd see such massive, long-form stories on this pony-writing forum? I've read a few 100,000+ word fics on here, and that's just a few out of a great multitude.

Yesterday there was someone who made a very kind donation to my fundraiser.
He has previously made three other contributions and he made another one which I just received in the mail.
A month or so ago my mom was diagnosed with Vikings Disease which causes bones and joints to curl up to the point where they can't be used anymore. There is no known cure for it. My mom got it from an injury at her job where she shattered her shoulder bones and all of the bones in her wrist. This caused her body to sustain a lot of trauma that triggered the recessive genetic disorder.
