Oh boy. That was my reaction while scrolling through a couple comments sections' about the recent issue about free speech and potential Nazism in the fandom. I'm gonna keep this short, as I have both little knowledge on the specific subject and politics in general. Just a general opinion post I guess.
This one has been making the rounds for a bit over a week now. The neo-Nazi/fascist/racist/incel/misogynist/anti-LGBTQ problem in online fandoms and other communities has been known for a while, and now some news outlets are noticing how prevalent it has become in the Brony community. No, I do not want Nazis in this fandom.
I don't want stories about cutesy Nazi OCs, who exist to give "ironic" cover to actual Nazis and racists, and to normalize Nazi presence in MLP fandom.
I don't especially want people saying they're doing this in defense of free speech. They are, at best, fools who aid and abet the far-right that wants to destroy freedom of speech; at worst, they're Nazis doing it on purpose.
Apparently, according to a higher up at Marvel, us jumping to the conclusion being in HYDRA makes Cap a Nazi is totally not Marvel's fault and completely surprised them.
Recently, there have been attempts to "create a dialog" or "have a discussion" about whether Nazis or Nazism should be in any way portrayed, written about or depicted on this site. It has been said that to deny this would be to deny free speech. To prevent the free exchange of ideas. My response is as follows:

See its one thing to give constructive criticism it's another to be entirely disrespectful and a fucking asshole in someone's comment section just because they aren't the best at editing.
I work hard on my stories and do my best with editing but I has ADHD and can't catch every single error that pops up.

Yes, you read that right. After what I've read about the topic, I am indeed a Nazi, because I find Aryanne fics both cute and hilarious. That makes me a Nazi, right? But people are saying that Aryanne should be banned, and so should all of Ze Nazis be kicked out of ze fandom. Clearly liking Aryanne fics is a sign of being a Nazi.
