My bosses decided that I was making too much per hour for the work I'm assigned to do (grunt work). In other words, I was overqualified, and they brought in cheaper help from below me. After said help was trained and their collars fitted, they saw fit to lower my wage by over five-hundred dollars less per month.

I'm constantly going back to the story and trying to find the inspiration that began the whole thing, and even though I can sense it, I can't quite grasp it. What's worse?
