Following up on my previous rant about Starlight Glimmer, I have to say, the season 6 finale did wonders to improve my opinion of her. I won't go into details as some people may not have seen it yet but I think I can live with her as a main character now.
She's still far from my favorite character, but not my least favorite, anymore.

Starlight Glimmer loves kites.
There's something magical about that. It's so simple. It has nothing to do with her arc as a reformed villain. It has nothing to do with any virtue, or character trait meant to encapsulate her entire personality. It has nothing to do with anything at all.
She just... likes kites.
Couple of blogs this morning, and because I can't tag more than one story, I have to do them separately.
Just in time for the holidays, I've been fighting a cold all week, so story progress has been slow. I've made progress on the next chapter of A Glimmer of the Past, but sadly it looks like it's not going to be finished in time for posting before I leave out-of-state for a weekend with the in-laws.
While a little late for the holiday season, I have finally gotten the first chapter of a new fanfic series: A Glimmer of Hearth's Warming Magic. Inspired by cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies, this fic gives me a chance to play around with Starlight Glimmer and Trixie, which are my favorite characters of the series and whose relationship I was always happy to see. For you readers of "In Somepony's Shadow", my plan is to alternate between these two so I can get more variety so it doesn't mean that

I'm writing a small one-shot, and I have a scene that requires Starlight's characterization. Being honest, i'm still not sure on how to write it. Therefore, I need to consult on someone who can give me a facsimile on what she's supposed to act and think like, as well as feedback on the eventual drafts of said scene.
Anyone can help?

Starlight Glimmer is a former villain who has appeared quite frequently in recent seasons. Some people think that Starlight Glimmer will become the new main character. The question is should that happen? For Lily Peet the obvious answer is no. Even though Lily Peet is a great reviewer I have different opinions on Starlight.
Because now I'm 75% sure, especially with that Art of Equestria book snippet. So mark my words ponies...
Starlight moves to be a recurring character in Season 6! Basically this means not a main main, but close.
This will be cringey if it doesn't happen...
I may be only doing this because I had also predicted April 4th for the Season 5 premiere back in November.. soo...
