I watched the Pokemon Direct and spoiled a bit of the games! But to be fair, the pressure of the internet would have gotten to me sooner or later. I'm happy I saw the new direct and I'm happy for all the things in the trailer. So what does this mean now? Now this means that we can talk about the trailer in the comments below!

I emerge from my coronavirus bunker to discover half the site on fire and a wolf chasing a drunk Catholic. All we need is Knighty to do another UI update or fully implement Genfic (is that even still a thing?) and the 2020 shitstorm can really get rolling in.

As you can see, someone set aside quite a bit of time (around half a year) to remix/remake the soundtrack of Cave Story in FamiTracker -- so that means, yes, it is indeed true 8-bit sound, and it utilizes the VRC6 chip extension as well.
