So, I've been reading the Head in the Clouds trilogy by Calm Wind, (which I would highly recommend), recently and discovered many fanworks. Woke up to a call from Mom, talked to her for a bit... She was mostly making sure that we were all okay and what had we gotten for dinner the night before... And then that shower happened.
