That is all.
First, for those who are wondering: I have continued working on S.M.I.L.E. Agent Aria Blaze. Have been since finishing Silverstream's Raiding Party to widen the buffer. Updates will resume on November 6th.
Equestria Daily got added to the Library of Congress!
As part of it's effort to archive the development of web culture Equestria Daily (and twenty-nine other sites) have been added to a web culture archive in the Library of Congress, and while I think that's super fucking dope all around, there is one, amusing implication I realized.
So... This has been a project that was asleep for a long time. At least a year, because I remember starting to write it after December 2018, during a time that was not really fun for me. It was first supposed to be called "It follows me", but I felt it was just right to call it "It's just me". I abandoned the story when I felt better, until January. I finally got the courage to look back on it, on what Twilight was going through, on what I was going through, and finished it. I wanted to
With apologies, there will be no new story chapters from me for a while, either on Firefly or Nightmare Night. Why? Several reasons. First, my motivation level for new writing hit zero this week. This is due to a combination of factors, not the least of which is a heavy workload in the form of a must-finish software development project and a nixed vacation because of it. I was supposed to be off to Las Vegas next week to play some poker, but that's now delayed by at
Well... 20 years... in the next few days it'll be 20 years I've spent on this Earth. "Was any of it well spent" , I ask myself. Well for some years, yes I believe it was, but others I feel were wasted. However in one of those years were a few months where I was the absolutely the lowest person you'll ever meet. I didn't show that shitty side of myself on the internet during those times so you followers wouldn't know. However I think right now I should just grow up and admit what wrong I've done
I think I figured out an actual way time can flow in the same rate in Equestria and EQG world and still account for discrepancies between the two series.
It's not a matter of time. It a matter of how it's measured.
Since day, night, the weather, and most other natural phenomena are controlled by ponies, there's no reason to assume that they'd use the same "24 hrs= 1 day, 365 days = 1 year" calendar we would.
So I remembered just now that with the posting of my latest fanfic, that put me at a total of twenty fanfics posted on this site, so I figured...might as well acknowledge that trivial landmark.
Also, just as way of reassurance...I had alluded in a previous blog post earlier in the year that I was toying with the idea of making my twentieth fic my last altogether, but that's clearly not happening now, so...ignore that little detail moving forward, y'all.
