So I'll stand by that on the whole 2015 was a good year, but I had a lot of story ideas last year that simply pattered out.
As to have something interesting as the first blog of the year, I thought I'd share them with you.
Well, except one or two I'm still poking away at I want to keep under wraps, but you know how it is. 
So earlier this evening, I was struck by what might be called a burst of inspiration, or what might be called "fuelled by spite". As you can guess by the title I am working on a reading of my story Abandoned by Pinkie, which will be accompanied by a commentary. This is kind of my gift to those among my 50 subs who enjoy my readings.
Now one thing I was thinking of doing (and I am not really sure about doing) is having numerous images aside from my own being used in the video. This means I might use fan art of my story in the reading. Thing is I am not sure if I want to do this?

I've been in a downward spiral since mid-December and although I perked up at the beginning of the year, the spiral has resumed. Rock bottom is near and the last time that happened I was minutes away from doing the deed if my wife hadn't caught me in the act. Does anyone have any thoughts?
I am tired because I got home from Canada earlier this week. Also a few weeks ago I had my blood drown by the doctor to see if I had any thyroid issues. Fortunately the results were negative. Unfortunately this means that the symptoms I am having are caused by stress. So I am a little bit tired.

Clearly, for some, it is not the season for giving or goodwill as I stumbled across a charming individual who was giving up their bunnies and “getting rid of them”. I have had an idea for a story. I began to write down this story.
My original plan was just to describe the death of a pony that I fleshed out as I wrote the story. However something horrible happened. The story evolved too much!
My thoughts all come down to one conclusion: I'm leaving this page up, but am abandoning it.
It wasn't a very hard choice, but that's what I came to. FireRain will still be running, blogs will still be here and there occasionally, but anything else from this channel will cease.

I've decided I have far too many stories I've started but will never finish, and to relieve some of the mental load, I'm just going to post what I have done in blogs. I don't have any plans to cancel stories I've already submitted on FIMFic — these are just things I don't think I'll ever get back to in my WIP folder. Both Tartarus Forged and Hero Souls: Awakening are giving me fits. I seem to have hit a wall made of writer's blocks regarding them, so I'm just gonna shove them in a corner for now and see if I can't get one of my other ideas going. Maybe after a month or two I'll come back to them and see if I can do anything with some fresh eyes.
